Anyone else have a problem with the SCS Travel Mugs????

Has anyone else had the sliding/closing part on their SCS travel mug break off? I bought one when they first came out (I was SO excited) and after about two months of daily use, the sliding part on the lid broke off. Undaunted, I ordered a second mug and was extra careful with the lid on this one. The lid on the second one broke last week.
I really like SCS but I'm a little frustrated that my two $20 mugs are broken. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience or if I am the lone idiot who can't keep her mug working. :(

I haven't had that problem...I have had the problem where I turn a corner like a race car driver and subsequentally there is latte...uhm....everywhere! ;)

Mine is great. I use it all the time and have had no problems.

yikes Justine! we had a recent e-mail from someone about a broken lid, was that you? we haven't had anyone else report similar problems, so thanks for bringing this up.

what color was your mug? interestingly, some of the various colors have slightly different lids. perhaps the manufacturer has had problems as well.

at any rate, let us do something for you to make this better. if you paid full price for this second mug we can refund you, or perhaps even send you a replacement lid or two.

overall I'm very pleased with our mugs - they're attractive and do a great job of keeping stuff hot and cold. they're not spillproof, but that combo of great looking, insulating and spillproof proved impossible to find when we were searching out manufacturers.

at any rate, we'll find a way to make you happy. can't have ya distressed about your mug investment, this coffee stuff is serious business... ;^)

I didn't send an earlier message about my mug because I looked through the FAQs in the store and saw the return policy and figured there was nothing I could do.
I LOVE my mugs and have been so sad when the lids have failed on me. If there is anything I can do to help you resolve this issue, I'd be glad to do it. I just PM'd you!
Thanks!!
