Post Paper Applique

I just tried out the Paper Applique technique with a 1920s "Art Deco Lady" stamp. The difference in style is rather dramatic if you compare the plain stamped lady with the one dressed in paper applique.

First version

Second Version

P.S. Rubbernecker Stamp Co. has a bunch of stamps that feature ladies from the '20s '30s and '40s. Really cool!

Oops! I see in the techniques challenges that this is also called Paper Piecing.

The second version of that image is just STUNNING! I now understand why people go to all the trouble of paper piecing/applique.
