I've been noticing the stamps (and companies) are coming up fast and furious! I cannot keep up! I've decided to help myself out here, since I can be a compulsive buyer. I save the file of the stamp set on a site and then put it in my "wish file" on my desktop.
Currently, there are over 20 sets in this file. I have not bought any, although I sometimes take a peek to see if I can't stand it and have to get it! It seems to be working, as I sometimes forget about them or I change my mind a day later. I did break down with Crafty Secrets.
How about the rest of you? How are you managing with the spring onslaught? (and the impending release of SU! in the summer).
I'm doomed, I have already spent so much this spring swith SU sellabration, CTMH and the TAC special. I have a ton of cards to make to meet that spending challenge, so far. This site is so enabling, but fun. I have a protfolio of "wishes" but haven't dared to figure out how many that is, and that's only online, and SU.

About three years ago, I limited my stamp purchases to SU and Hero Arts. Last year, I added PTI to the list. 90% of my stamp dollars go to these three companies. Don't get me wrong--there are some awesome companies out there (Gina K, Bellas, CHF, Kitchen Sink, etc.). There may come a time when I add another or switch out companies, so it's not like I'm not open to other stuff. But you're right, there's just too much new stuff, and I have to limit it somehow or my DH would divorce me. I sorta like the man and want to keep him, so I practice restraint!
It is very, very hard! My DH recently changed careers, and we have a lot less money don't worry, he's much happier, it's worth it! But I went from literally buying almost everything I wanted to spending about $44 a month, you know that doesn't go very far! My design teams REALLY help out with the rubber aspect of spending. Since I love the stamps of the companies I design for, I feel pretty satisfied in that area, but I still have to make choices in embellishments, which are just as expensive as stamps! No help here, just comismerating!
PS:I have a serious Crafty Secrets problem, so you're not the only one!
I'm a bit worried with the SU! catty coming out. I seriously hope I don't like a lot in it. Unlike a lot of people, I like the brights (thanks to Beate who converted me) and I will be getting all the in-colors. That, in itself, will cost a lot of money.
Not to mention all the great rub-ons, chipboard, punches. Really, there is no end. I just keep sticking it in that wish file and hope I can use self-control. Wish I could make a living out of this and justify my spending. Hard to tell DH that the Mother's Day card I just made cost about 100$!!
I just placed an order for more SU stuff Tuesday. That included a stamp set and more cardstock. I've found myself watching prismacolor videos and thinking about copics and coveting stamp sets...I also found myself on a quest for a specific stamp that was used to make an awesome card I found in the gallery.
I just retired in January, so our total income is down. In the year before I stopped working, I spent like there was no tomorrow. Now I've been trying to limit myself. When I see something online that I like, I either put it in my cart or on my wishlist with that company and then revisit it in a couple days. Often I don't even know why I thought I wanted it.

i am thankful to have a mom who is a CTMH consultant, and to be on the design team for Unity Stamp Company - otherwise i wouldn't own hardly ANY stamps - those of you having 40-75$ a month to spend. .. .in my DREAMS .. . . i can't even IMAGINE! You are lucky little girlies!!!!!!

WOW, that is so true. Same at my home. My poor husband would be so upset and I do not want that.
I have restricted myself as well to SU, Hero Arts and PTI. I buy some non branded stuff here and there at the local craft stores, but online I have not bought any other rubber stamps.
