I'm guessing that if we did......after yesterday's topics of what Shelli was wearing, they may have left us.......
That's OK. It's probably better this way anyhow! Then some man would have to admit he's addicted to rubber. That might not sound so great when he stands up and admits it...LOL...

Ok, not only do I want to know if Daven does or ever did stamp, but since it doesn't appear any of the SCS members are men (other than Daven ) then do any of you ladies have a husband or significant other that participates in your stamping adventures?

If I can't be a good example -- then I'll just have to be a horrible warning!
My dh helps me pick out stamp sets (usually one or two sets our "his" per catty.) He's tried his hand at stamping, but usually prefers to ask me for what he wants... he's creative, just afraid to get addicted to stamping, too, lol.
He even helped me with my MILs 50th birthday scrapbook. He picked all the pictures with me, all the colors and all the stamp sets he wanted used in it.
My son (who's only 9) loves to stamp with me...but he only uses 'boy' type stamps...I think he's afraid to admit that he would like to stamp more. I don't foresee him doing this too much further into the future! I think it's a 'spend time with mom' activity (because that's all I do)!
I guess that doesn't really count as a man stamping, but he has testosterone, so it counts a little!
As I sit here patiently waiting for the man in brown to arrive with my Catty's I saw this post.
My hubby does not stamp but he is the first to open up his mouth to let me know when he thinks I've created a lemon.... He does actively particapates in letting me know what stamp sets I would get the most use of, at least what he thinks are best.
Last year he helped me pick out some sets that I earned all the time hinting what sets should go to make room for the new ones.....
All in all, he is very supportive of my passion & is the first to come out & look at what I'm making and give his most valued opinion. Well he thinks it is of value...
I do summer camp with children in the summer & it surprises me how many boys do participate in the stamping sessions. Some of them tell me how to do it because their moms do it all the time at home....you just have to chuckle at how cute thay are and be amazed by what comes out of their mouths.
My younger group is about 70% boys! But as the get older I just don't think they want to be caught by their peers doing something so girlie & un cool, so my older campers have about 85% girls!
Where is that man with the brown shorts?
Regards
Barbara
In my little SU demo group we have a wonderfully talented and creative brother and sister team. Scot is a terrific stamper/scrapbooker and I get all kinds of good ideas from him. FYI - his pet peeve is that most of the stamping groups always refer to girls/ladies!! I guess if I were in his shoes I would feel the same, but I can't think of a genderless way to address everyone. Any good ideas about this? It would be interesting to know how many male demos are out there.
My DH doesn't stamp and I'm sure doesn't know what half the things in my stamp room are for. He does support me in my stamping addiction although I'm sure he doesn't understand....when I mentioned to him I may have to drive to the UPS on Friday to get my catty's he said (with kind of a glare) "I don't think that will be nesassary." That tells me he just doesn't get it! :? And this after almost 8 years with SU!
I do know a male demo in our area though. Kevin Theesin. Some of you may know him or know of him as he has helped at Convention a few times and is there now. He's a lot of fun and very creative!
My husband is NOT a stamper, but he is very supportive of my stamping habit....uh I mean business. Last year he even went to convention with me. He was more into Vegas than the actual convention, but he did do a couple of make and takes.
He cracks me up when he sounds like he knows what he is talking about.....stamping wise. He likes to throw around words like monoadhesive & eyelets!
We bought our first home a few months ago, that is why I am not at convention this year. Last night he asked me, are your catalogs here yet? I replied, "Do you see it in my hands?" Then we both had a laugh about it. The UPS guy should be here sometime this afternoon.
He even did a little skit of Arnold Swartzeneger presenting at convention. Saying things like "I can set this eyelet with my thumb......but you girlie stampers may want to use this little hammer!"
MY DH has stamped with me, and enjoys it on occasion. He is mostly supportive (if he knew the retail value of my craft room he'd drop dead instantly, I'm sure...but hey, if I totalled up what he spent on beer in the last 16 years........point taken?! ;)). He loves that I enjoy it so much and is finally admitting that "this hobby is sticking"....LOL....
And he's good, when he does it!!
