Beth, of Freckled Fun Designs, did mine. I went to her without having even a vague idea of what I wanted initially, and, then was very particular. She's a sweetheart, tho, and, was very patient with me.
I really recommend looking around at lots of banners, and having a list of elements, colors, "style", etc. you really like from the get-go--I wish I'd done that. I'll know next time I have Beth do another one for me. I really like the one I have right now, so I'm reluctant to part with it just yet . . .
One thing I learned about blogs in general, is that wide banners evidently annoy many viewers/readers because they have to scroll down so far before they get to the content of your page. So, that's something to bear in mind, I guess?

Jots and Pixels. http://www.jotsandpixels.blogspot.com/ Highly recommend. Nice and fast. One really nice thing is that Jennifer was able to provide me with clear easy to follow instructions on how to load the darn thing onto my blog. Make sure you check into that if you are not html savvy!!

My sister , mamakimberly, but she doesn't do them for sale. She just likes me and made mine. Then a few weeks ago I asked about something different and then up popped the new one I have.
I did lots of looking around and finally settled on Nicole Seitler, http://inkblots.webseitler.com/blog/webseitler-design/. She was a gem to work with and went above and beyond to make it all work. I thought she was very reasonable. Please check her out before you make a final decision....you won't be sorry! If you want to see my banner she made, go on over to my blog....I think it is Beau-Ti- Ful !!! Just click on The Caruso Manner and it will take you there. Please tell Nicole I sent you.

I totally second Joans recomendation!!!! In fact I went with Jennifer because I saw Joans post on her blog. I tried to "connect" with another banner creator, and it was taking forever.......I'm speaking well over a month!! So I finally gave up......
But with Jennifer...it was done within maybe 2 hours max?!! And she came up with Exactly what I wanted.....After showing me what I "thought" I wanted wouldn't work!! So perceptive that girl is!!!!... I so Highly recommend her! Super Fantabulous Work!!!
I also bought a couple of watermarks from her too!
I want one and don't have one. I also want a cute jailbirdstamper avatar but this is the only one I could find.... I have no idea how to design it, what I would even ask for or how to put it on blogger.... so sadly I am banner-less.
Art is intended to provoke an emotion from a total stranger. If youve succeeded in this, consider yourself an artist. Paper Shanks Blog. Love me or hate me, you are still talking about me

That's why I had to turn to a pro. It took me over TWO DAYS to figure out how to do one myself, and I didn't have that kinda time (OK, I didn't wanna make the time; two days feels like forever when you have no clue what you're doing!!!).
Some day, I will learn to do it myself. Yeah. I will. Yup!
But, not todaaaaAAAaaaaaaay!!! :p *chuckle*

Yup she helped me make mine - I sketched out my idea and picked out the colors I wanted and we went from there - **I** was a total pain to deal with and she was AWESOME and made it look exactly like I pictured it!!

I very much agree with Julie here! Beth did mine and even though I was a royal pain in the bum trying to get what I wanted, she was a sweetie and worked with me for days and days! Highly recommend Beth!
And on a high point, I think I finally figured out over the weekend how to make my own - WOO HOO!
All of you who made your own did such a nice job! I am totally impressed! I think I am the last person on earth without a banner... I just need to decide on something and get it done!
I did my own...it is just from a photograph...I try to focus my blog on several aspects of my life, all which happen in the country, so I will change mine to different seasonal country photographs...
I stamped mine, I have temporary banners for special occasions (Easter, Valentine...) some of them are just pictures of cards I made, good enough for 1 day

I dont have one either but I'm thinking about it
I am totally impressed with everyone that made their own, I am totally clueless!!!!!
I made my own too. I have checked out a few of the sites posted and they do fabulous work! I was considering going with one of them a little while ago, but then I thought I'd try my hand at creating one myself first!
I'm happy with it so far! But in a few days I'll get blog header ADD again and it will probably change! LOL!
