I'm only able to get one background stamp with my order. Please help me decide. I already have: Crosshatch, Canvas, Print Pattern, and French Script. Which from the poll would you choose if you could only pick one and why?
TIA!
If I could only choose one, it would be Linen. Linen just seems to go with everything, it can go with plain and simple, or it can be elegant. Very versatile, imho.
Ooh! I'm the first to respond! I voted for Paisley. I was going to pick Floral since I love that (I haven't used Paisley yet), but Paisley has that floral "feel" to it so it's almost like getting 2 for 1. Good luck deciding!
I voted for Floral, although Print Pattern is another must have, as is Linen or Canvas, I have held off getting Floral for like forever, and finally bit the bullet and got it!

Floral....used it last night and love it! Since you already have Canvas, you wouldn't really need to get Linen right of way... I think Linen looks very similar to Canvas! If I could pick two from your list the other would have been Weathered.... Love that one! ;)

I've always thought that Canvas and Linen were close too. I know they have a different effect and I really like the look of the Linen but thought Canvas was close enough at this time.
However that is why I did a poll to see what everyone else thought. Thanks for all the input so far!
I honestly will have ALL of them... of course Paisley will be first on my list... but I was jumpin' for joy that On the spot made it in the big catty! it is so versitile. Can I vote for multiple ones???
K-I voted for Linen, then finished reading your post. So, I'm changing my opinion to Floral. Based on the backgrounds you have, I think Floral would be a nice fit to round out your choices.
I selected Paisley from your list. I already have Canvas and that is similar to Linen. Although Linen is on my wish list though but Canvas can tide me over. ;) paisley isn't like any other that I have so I think that's why I chose that one.

I voted for Linen before I read your post. Once I saw you had Canvas, I wanted to change my vote to Paisley because it is different from all the other stamps you already have. Then you should get Linen as your next background as it is different enough from Canvas to have both!

I would get Linen just for the sheer versatility of it. However I'm a background junky and have many of the others. I think that you can never go wrong with picking up a background stamp, and I routinely will order 1-2 every other order or so (until I have them all).
I know that the new Flannel will be on my next order.

Don't you just hate having to choose only one? Definitely a tough choice, but I chose Linen because I find myself using it the most. It is so versatile and goes well with other background stamps.

I *really* want paisley so I almost checked that one but back to your original question, I put down linen.
I do use the linen BG the most and it really does go with everything. :-)
Have a wonderful stamp-happy day!

I chose paisley but Linen is a close second! I have Linen and the Pailsey from Cornish Heritage and use them about the same amount. Sound like paisley may be a nice addition to what you have!
I chose Paisley because it rocks and there's going to be lots of new samples in the gallery with it in the coming months. I also love Linen, but since you already have Canvas and you can only order 1, I would choose Paisley.
I voted Paisley, but Floral would be a great alternative to it. I have both Linen and Canvas, and definitely think you could wait on Linen. Dotted is also high on my wish list!
I picked Floral, but Paisley was a close second. These images are so nice that they can be a main image or a background. Just add a tag with a sentiment and you have a beautiful card.

I didn't set up the poll for multiple votes but you can voice it here all you want!
I picked Floral because you don't already have a floral background. Linen (which seems to be winning) looks a lot like canvas to me. I would pick something that is totally different than what you have.

Based on comments I think I'm going to either go with Paisley or Floral. Now to decide which one of those, it's a never ending battle!
I would look at your favorite sets and decide which of these would go best. Paisley is a little shabby chic-ish and floral is more Anna Griffin-ish. I have learned the hard way what works for some--doesn't alway work for me!
I said dotted b/c it's new and I've seen a lot of really neat card using it. But practically speaking...Linen would be my choice. Different than Canvas...subtle...leaves nice color on your CS.
I voted for Floral because I think it is slightly more versatile than Paisley, but I have them both and love them! (I have the older Paisley and am too cheap to change it!) Good luck deciding!
Oh I just checked out your card. I like it. If you wanted to spice it up, you could use stickles on that flower. My SS sent me some really clear but irridecent stickles. Doesn't show up in the scans but shimmers softly in real life.
I voted for Paisley. It was a toss-up between Paisley and Linen, but reading your current list of background stamps, I thought Paisley would be best for diversity sake. Also, it's new! new! new!
I voted for Paisley, BUT I think any of the more solid backgrounds would be a good bet (Floral, Well-Worn Words, Paisley, Linen) You have mostly open backgrounds, so something a bit more solid would be nice to balance your collection
I think you could stick almost anything on top of Weathered, and it would look great. From an elegant flower (against a weathered wall) to a casual, whimsical thing. I also feel that way about the brick wall from Cornish Heritage Farms...
I voted for Floral because it is different from your other backgrounds. Also, it can be made into a card just by itself with the addition of a greeting.
