Default Answer from SU re: Selling cards

First, thanks to everyone who answered my post about this. I appreciate it! I e-mailed SU & got a very nice response. Thought you might like to see what they said. Here is their note:

Thank you for your interest in Stampin’ Up!® and for your inquiries regarding our Angel Policy. A hair salon would still be considered a retail establishment. However, you could advertise in such a facility, such as by leaving flyers or your business card stating that you made hand-stamped cards. However, you could not mention Stampin’ Up! on the flyer or business cards or display samples. When people contacted you, you could then show them samples of the cards you make. The same is true on your personal Web site. You may post the fact that you make custom hand-stamped cards and let people contact you if they are interested, but you may not display samples of those cards for sale on your Web site or mention there that you will be using Stampin’ Up! products in your cards.

In addition to the Hand Made with Love copyright stamps we have that can be sued on the back of such cards, we also have personalized stamps that can be used instead. These can be found on page 199 of our current 2004-2005 Idea Book & Catalog. There are three different designs you can choose from and it would say Hand stamped by LORI GARRISON with our copyright notice beneath. You may order such a stamp through your local demonstrator.

We hope this information is helpful.

Thank you again for your e-mail. If you have further questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to contact us again.
