Another stamping U-turn - this time it's Bellas!
I do this a lot. I see stuff, I think "why?" and turn up my nose. Then I start to wonder. I did it with shabby chic. I did it with paint cans. I did it with lunch tins.
And now I've done it with Bellas.
Don't shoot me but, when I first saw Bellas, I couldn't see the appeal. Then, I decided that I quite liked them but that there wasn't a Bella for me, so I wasn't buying one for the sake of it.
Then Ally just happened to mention on her blog that shipping to England was only $4. That piqued my interest. I mean, $4!!!!! That's only a couple of quid!
So I had a look at the website again and, because I couldn't find the international shipping prices, I just thought I'd pop a Bella into my basket to see if it was true. It was! Shipping $4!!!! So, I thought, I might as well buy one. It's hardly any money, after all.
But then I thought, hmmm - I wonder how much it would be to ship TWO Bellas? Surprisingly... still only $4!
Naturally, I then wondered how much it would cost to ship THREE Bellas. Surely more than $4? But no! Still only $4!!!!
So all of a sudden I had THREE Bellas in my shopping basket, when I only meant to buy one. But I couldn't decide which ones to get rid of - it seemed offensive, somehow, to reject them. So I bought them all.
So here I am, on the Bella Bandwagon with you all! Can't WAIT for them to arrive!!!

HAHAHA! You have been sucked in!! That is how it starts..lol. I was like you, didn't know what the appeal was, but the more I looked the more they grew on me and before I knew it I had ordered 10 of them, and some of the sentiment stamps and that cute little ewe..lol. but it was for my birthday, so I can spend the money how I want, right?? LOL

Bwahahahahaha! That is hilarious Helen! But they are so reasonably priced, it seems rude not to!

I felt the same way, I didn't care for the Bellas at first. And now I want them all. I can't get them now because I need to place a large SU order for myself (I haven't ordered anything yet during SAB and I want all of them too). Hmmm... do I see a pattern here?
PS. I also want the scalloped oval punches, and tons of background stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms (is that the name of the co?) Yep, definitely a pattern!

See- now I've learned to open up my mind to new stamping trends because then I don't have to eat so many words! I jumped on the Bella-bandwagon a few days ago and my little sweeties are winging their way to me. Now I just need to resist placing another order a bit longer until Em has more new stuff for me to spend $$ on.... it's only $$ right- I want to be like the Egyptians an be buried with my stamps! Who says I can't take them with me!

The worst thing is... I'm in the mood to make a card, but I can't. Why? Well, duh! Obviously, because my Bellas aren't here! And, of course, I don't have any other stamps...

I hope that I detect a bit of sarcasm there...I hope we both get our Bellas quickly to easy our affliction!

I did the SAME thing, in regard to the Bella U turn! While they are cute, they're completely different from SU! (unmounted, sold individually, a bit pricey), but after I started seeing samples...well, there was no turning back! I think I have 9 (if you count the fact that I cut the stampinsistahs apart).

I think they are so cute, but I've resisted buying them due to the unmounted thing. Do I have to buy a bunch of acrylic blocks and adhesive and stuff just to use them?

Pricey??? Not if you live in England they're not! One of the reasons I bought them was because they're so cheap!!!!

I'm not entirely sure but I think you only need one block. You take them off when you're done and mount another one.

One block of the right size will do it, and they sell the blocks on that web site too.
(it is so much fun being an enabler, I love it!!!)
So Helen, do 'quid' have any relationship to 'squid'?

Well now, we can call you BagPussaBella, right? And yes, you only need one block to fit each size of stamp you got---so which ones did you get? And if you don't have the acrylic blocks, you can put them on most anything with double stick tape---in a pinch, i used a metal cd tin for a bigger one!!!

Nope one singlular acrylic block will basically do the lot, bit of pritt stick (glue stick) or double sided tape etc and away you go, easy peazy lemon squeezy.
Right come you Sistahs, how would you add bella to the end of my name etc I am an Alexandra, but I get called Alex but if you add bella to it it makes my name sound awful - wwhaaaaaaaaaaaaaa its not fair, I want a cute bella name too!!!!
Bagpuss, you are so right when you say that these stamps are so cheap for us, they soooooooooo are, even with the $4 postage, (which I have to say is an absolute steal) yipeee. I have just received my third order of bellas, I do love them, have nearly all the ones that I know I will use, wouldn't use the teeoffabella, cause golf in UK is mainly a main thing, now if you were to introduce a cricketabella, maybe I might be persuaded, I am sure my hubby would love to see that on his card!!!!

Yes, ahem... of course, as we were just saying... the Bellas are just about the right price. Not ridiculously cheap. And the postage isn't a steal at all.

What size of block do I need for 3.0 x 1.5? Ems, you still online? It just says "Style#:kbe36" and no letter beside it waah.. You UK gals are lucky, my shipping's up to US$25.61 but then again I'm in Asia. Hey wait a minute, jm_donahoe, you're lucky with $4.77 shipping.

I am not sure about these APO addresses... What do they mean? I am a silly canadian.. I know that with another kind bella they were on an army base in Columbia (is that an APO? oh please don't scream at me).. her shipping was 19$ so please don't get too excited with the $3.77! And OF COURSE I would never raise the prices as long as it is fair for both!
