TAC Thoughts
After posting a review of the new CTMH catalog, I thought I'd go ahead and add some thoughts and information on the new catalog from The Angel Company [TAC]. This catalog came out this week.
Images shown 100% except for the big backgrounds, in which case they generally showed a 2"x2" square of it. They must have a new designer.... at least 2 dozen new sets are in a really stylized "Tim Burton" style. Samples are head-and-shoulders above last year's TAC catalog, and nicely organized into color families. Sprial bound, full-color, 256 pages (same as last year).
Observations:
- Stamp set called "Stamp Lifted" is really cute... phrases for cards/projects that were CASEd
- New alphabets include a tag alphabet, a Scrabble-like tile alphabet, and a reverse crayon block set
- 28 big background stamps - one is a soccer net pattern
- Three new fishing sets, plus two more sets that include a fishing stamp or two. One is all flies & a worm.
- Lots of new masculine-friendly animals sets. A hunting set, a penguins set, and at least four african animal sets
- More new sets: skateboarding, cars, motocross/dirtbikes, basketball, soccer
- Seven new dye ink colors, six new chalk ink colors, and a whole new line (36 colors) of "hybrid" ink pads that are a blend of dye and pigment
- ROLLABIND
- 16 different sets of 5x5 square pre-cut notecards & envelopes
- Self-adhesive foam shapes in black & white to make shaker cards easier
- Five shapes/sets of epoxy stickers (read: page pebbles)
- Buttons, eyelets, and brads offered separately in about 2 dozen colors
- Very light on scrapbook albums.... only half a dozen
