Another Email from the Desert!!!!

Hey Girls, here is another email from Bethany! The GUYS love our cards!!! Read on!!! You are all the BEST!

Hello Keri!!!

I am so glad that you received my email. I am coming home soon so I won't
be here to get your new cards. Everyone here loved them. Specially the
guys. They didn't have to stand in the BX and ponder over which one to get
for hours on end. The C-17's are wonderful planes. I work on them. I
wouldn't have it any other way. I love them. I thank you for replying to my
email. It made me very happy to know that you guys are doing what you are
doing. Believe it or not it sends out great support. I hope one day I can
repay you for all of the happiness you all have brought to us while we were
away from our families and friends. Thank you so much Keri.

Keri,

Bethany sounds like such a sweet girl. Amazing that she is a soldier and works on planes. What a difference this is making in the lives of our troops. You and everyone else who has contributed are wonderful.

She just replied to me again and she is stationed in Washington at McChord AFB but is PCSing to Japan soon...she is headed home from the desert soon...thank goodness! She does seem very sweet!

Hi Keri, this email is so wonderful. Hopefully, there will be another person to take her place in sending you emails etc. when she returns home. It is so great to hear from those so far away. Thank you for keeping us posted.

Isn't it ironic that she hopes that she can repay everyone for sending the cards, when really it is just one small way for all of us to repay all of them for the sacrifices they are making. This is truly incredible how selfless these soldiers are.

Thank you Keri, for keeping us all updated.

Bethany also told me that she has an eight month old daughter and has missed HALF of her life due to her current deployment!!! How hard is that? Talk about SELFLESS!!!!

Sereikastamper 09-16-2004 06:20 AM

Oh yeah, I also just gave her the link to SCS so that she can check us out! She said she likes to do crafty things!!! LOL I told her this was the site to check out!

keri it sounds like you may have a recruit to add to your downline!!!

Sereikastamper 09-16-2004 06:27 AM

LOL I told her that she is more than welcome to check out the Stampin Up! Website! But I am not sure that as a soldier in the AF she has time in her life to be a demo right now! LOL

I can't imagine leaving an infant behind - no matter how good the person taking care of her is! We are one lucky country to have such wonderful folks watching out for us! And she wants to be able to repay us?
Thanks Keri. I ahve to get stamping harder, and faster.

It is great to hear that the cards are appreciated so much. Everyone should be proud of all the pleasure and morale boosting you are doing!

skissugar 09-16-2004 09:26 AM

just a note to you gals :)

i wanted to say as a military wife, i think its soo great you are sending cards to our troops. It certainly boosts morall when the mail bag comes around and there is something to share with everyone. Keep up the good work ladies! I myself sent boxes frequently to both my bil's when they were over there, one is fixing to return and my husband will be possibly going after january some time. i will start up my boxes again. my neighbors each make up boxes as well and we send them out.. one for the person im sending to.. and usually about 4 other boxes addressed to them with a note inside to share. xmas i sent about 100 wrapped presents to my bil to share. They were cheap dollar store gifts but its the thought that counts and the men and women really enjoyed opening something on xmas when some of them had nothing. I also sent in the boxes small toys that i ordered from oriental trading for them to pass out to the iraqi children. anyway just thought id say thanks.. this got a little more long winded than it should have.. its the emotional side of me coming out lol..
