Default anyone emboss on melted crayon?

So I got out the iron and messed awhile with the crayons, I used some tissue paper and loved it, but since we all have a flu thing I did not last long...
So I am still wondering if -
You can emboss something on melted crayon
anyone tired darker colored paper? I was wondering about black.
Any other tips or faillures?
thanks for any help

Kyloe when I did this card, the background snowflakes (craft white) were taking way to long to dry. So I tried to emboss them and it just melted the crayon background again!

I haven't tried doing the crayon technique on black paper, but I'm sure with the right color crayons it'll look awesome! Maybe use some of the metallic crayons.

There are construction paper crayons that look cool on black paper, kinda neon. The colors are very bright and vivid. Made a 1st grade boy that HATED to color make a picture of the sea floor with fish. I bet these would be cool. They are made by Crayola and say Construction Paper Crayons on the box.

I tried doing the melted crayon, and then embossed in white and it worked fine. Maybe i didnt' have as much melted crayon on top of the paper, rather it got soaked into the paper?

Just thought I'd add my experience

the snowflake card is great, I did try the black paper and I mixed pearl ex with the crayon as well, I did not use the construction paper crayon (I think we do have some but the 6 year old was guarding his crayons and telling me not to use them all up.
The black was okay, but I did end up embossing over the crayon - I mixed the interference blue in with the clear and sparkly embossing powder and it looked okay on the craft white but not with the clear ink.
The husband is off snowmobiling for the weekend so if I am a bad mom and let the children watch too much tv we might have time to play some more.
