Default Alphabet Dilemma

I have an alphabet dilemma - I love both headline and letterpress alphabet but feel that they're too similar to buy both (plus, I don't have the money to buy both). Could I hear arguments on why I should buy one over the other???? I love them both!

Personally, I like the Letterpress alphabet. Headline looks like it's name - a headline. I can see myself getting more use out of the Letterpress, simply because it isn't screaming at me KWIM?

I personally like the letterpress too - but I've seen some cute stuff with the headline - sorry! I'm no help, I have trouble deciding too!

OK, I am really going to mess you up...I like headline and plan on purchasing it on my next order. It is just striking to me....I never even considered the other one. Good luck!

I like Letterpress (I loved headline until I saw letterpress - still like both...) I like the way it looks like a monogram.

Good luck with your choice!

I've been really torn between the two as well. I keep going back and forth. My con for the Letterpress is that it would be harder to cut out. I think I like its style better, though. But I keep wondering of Headline would be better for kid pages since I have two little ones. I know I am no help whatsoever but maybe I gave you some things to think about?

I'm not a big alphabet fan, but if I had to choose I would pick Headline - it would be easier to do some of the techniques (like kissing) with. Or even the reverse kissing technique.

I only have one alphabet set that I have ever liked and it is Alphablocks, but that is perfect for scrapbooking - for me at least.

Good luck on the decision!

My vote goes to Headline as well for the additional techniques you can use it for as well as the fact that it is sooo everyday plain and simple that it will be perfect for almost anything where I find that the letterpress is more fancy looking and would be MUCH harder to cut out!! LOL

Love them both but if you are demo HEADLINE is the better choice cause it is in the Catty and it makes for longer use in demonstrations!

I vote for Headline . . . personally, I just think it will look better with my kids' scrapbooks . . . but I do like them both! Sorry - no help!

I liked Letterpress right away when I saw it. But, as I debate over which one to get, I think I lean towards Headline. I love the way it looks on samples in the catty. And, being able to use it for a few different techniques is a good point. I'm waiting to get mine for free with my Stampin Start!

I will probably get HEADLINE myself - Seems like you could just do more with it and there is no real style to it so it would go with everything!

I'm going to get Headline just so I can use it with my background stamps. I think there will be so much more you can do with the Headline, IMO.

I had the same dilemma and went with letterpress only because I already own classic and simple type and those will look better when combining different size fonts. I am getting the headline at sellabration time (with my incentive sets). I think I will have to have BOTH,though. LOL

Default hard decision

Thanks for everyone's input - my gut is to go with Letterpress, mostly because I like fonts with serifs (those little tick marks) but the argument about them being harder to cut out does have me thinking....decisions, decisions...
