All the uses for a heat gun

Hey experts out there! For my April class, I want to feature he heat gun.
What else can be done with it besides:

*embossing
*candles (both tissue and directly into the candle)
*heat and stick powder
*stamping into a hot piece of foam sheet
*scratch n sniff (can some one tell me ways to do this? Could you use heat and stick powder to stick he Koolaide on?)

Those are the ones I thought of. Are there more? Please elaborate if it is a unique technique...

Don't forget the poly shrink!

how about for "curling" the organdy ribbon? love that look!

just point the heat gun at the ribbon you want to curl until you get desired effect--I usually hold one side with the bone folder so I don't burn my fingers.

How 'bout quick dry for the craft ink.

A heat gun (or hair dryer) will soften most price stickers enough to take them off with no mess.

for the scratch & sniff, I believe you mix the koolaid or the jello with clear embossing powder, and then emboss, that is how it sticks.

This is a great concept because I've been trying to justify the expense of the heat gun myself! It would be especially helpful to find alternate household uses so that I could convince dh!

My DH uses my heat gun for removing paint. Well he did until I let him buy his own paint heat gun. Get yourself a heat gun with a Micheals coupon that should make your DH happy.

I know there was a thread on people's military husbands using them to really shine up their shoes.

I use it to defrost my outside freezer...

I may be wrong here, but I believe it was originally designed as a wallpaper stripper.

embossing scents

Yes, just mix your koolaide with the clear embossing and emboss as usual. During christmas I bought some of the small ceramic gingerbread ornaments from Michaels. Pressed them into the VersaMark and then coated them with a cinnamon/ginger mixed with the clear powder. I double-embossed for a stronger scent. Turned out great!

If you want to move or remove something from a card you have created and used mono adhesive on, just heat it with your heat gun from the back and it comes right off! Wow, I love that! I sometimes make mistakes or change my mind! lol
