I recently quit working and now have this years Christmas cards done, next years almost done. So when I went back to my old job to visit I was asked by one of my favourite ex coworkers to make her an assortment of 20 cards I was happy to do this. I got to make 5 different designs I would like to make but there is only on Christmas a year, lol. I am one of those people that make the same card per year. I don't want to forget and send the same card to a person.
So now that I rambled a bit. I got extreme satisfaction making these cards for her to enjoy sending out to her friends and family.
I made a couple of little paper dolls (Cricut paper dolls cartridge) to put in my neice's birthday card (which I also made). I made a little pilgrim girl and a little indian girl. they came out cute -- I was really happy with them. She called to thank me for her birthday present and said she loved her "Thanksgiving Girls". Made my day!
I started scrapping and one of my first layouts was of my brother's pug. That dog is so crazy the photos I had just made me laugh and smile the entire time I was making it. I still look at that LO and chuckle.

I just finished up six small thanksgiving cards and six chocolate nugget purse holders for each person I work with. I work at a small family agency.
I'm leaving for Mexico Sunday for my daughter's beach wedding and did the last of the cards last night-2:00 in the morning when I couldn't sleep. I've never done Thanksgiving cards before, so that was fun.
I'll leave them on everyone's desk on Sat. before I go.

I think these are my favorites because I got to spend a lot of time making them. Most of the time I only have a few mins. These 3 projects each took over an hour to make.

i found MUCH joy in making these 'nautica note' cards for the guard choreographer and directors of my daughters guard unit of the high school band.
another thing i made recently that brought me JOY! was this "elizabeth's escapades"!!! (inside) i made it to look like a passport for her to journal in as she travels. and as i expected... she loved it! she is one who truly appreciates the things i make for her so i love love to make stuff for her! as simple as it is- there was more meaning to it if that makes any sense to anyone beside me and of course her.
i have completed all of my christmas cards and have been working on some GC holders and some really cute gift tags, some of which are in my gallery if you would like to take a look... i've been making christmas cards since january! my goal was for them to all be different this year! 89 different ones + 30 from my stamp-a-stack and a few from last year... i think i have ENOUGH!!!
now i am just rambling... now i'm off to see what you all have been up to!

WOW! these are very pretty! don't you love it when you can spend that much time doing what you love?!
you did a wonderful job! you certainly can tell you loved doing it!
I did an old-school project for a demo meeting Monday -- vellum "boats" to decorate glass votive holders. Totally throwback from 10 years ago but it was fun using updated sets and materials.

I have so many new Christmas stamps (and I was only going to make one kind of card this year) but my favorites are "Mistletoe & Mice" by Stampavie and "X-Mas Troupe" by Penny Black.
What a fun thread! I love everyones creations, so fun to see what really excites people
Mine is this "JOY" wall-hanging I created! I don't do much 3D/altered stuff becuase it's SO time-consuming and I'm an instant gratification kinda girl, lol! This project was so fun though, it makes me want to do it more often
I don't have it loaded to SCS yet but will soon! This is the only place I have it uploaded so far---

The Origami Box on the Stampin' Up demonstrator website under the "Holiday Extravaganza" training... It makes my face break out in a huge grin every time I open it up. It is SO COOL! And it's a really great size. This is destined to be my go-to box for a long time.
I have been making them to hold my downline Christmas gifts so I don't want to share the photo just yet as some of my ladies are SCS'ers. I can't wait to do a photo tutorial on my blog.

My favourite project this year was making my niece's halloween card. It took a long time to come up with the design, pick just the right stamps, and then put it together. The picture isn't the greatest, but I really like the way this pop-up card turned out. She was more excited about the Macdonald's gift card I put inside

I did a few of the Virtual Stamping Night challenges last weekend. My absolute favourite is this card, using the Blurred Watercolour Technique. I'm now busy using the technique on a variety of other stamps.

I can easily see why you would like this card so much!! It is GORGEOUS!!!!

I'm not done yet, but I'm working on a very special card for a friend of mine. She recently got a letter from the daughter she gave up for adoption 31 years ago when she was in high school. I know how important this is to her. Her daughter thanked her for giving her to the wonderful family she has.
This is my first baby congrats card when the "baby" is 31 yo!!! :-D It makes me teary every time I try to work on it.
Oh Cindy, what a dear, sweet story! COme back and post a link when you've completed your treasure!
My 'special joy' project from the last month was this 50th birthday card for a long-time friend of DH. Seeing how proud DH was when we presented it to Kevin made me so happy. . . .

Lately, I have been making all kinds of notepads with PTI's Take Note stamp set and new "ready-to-go" noteopads (no more having to get the legal pads cut to size!). With the cover template on Nichole Heady's blog and the new notepads and stamp set, these have been so easy to whip together. My favorite so far is a Holiday Planner that I made for my mom. The hanging mittens were so much fun to make!
I jumped into the Great Unknown and started an after-school craft club with my middle school students. Our first project (last month) was a cd holder, complete with a blank cd that the kids could burn music to and give as a gift to a friend or family member for the holidays (sorry I don't have a picture). One of my students--male--looked at me with this great big smile when we were done. He said "Mrs. XXXX, I could make 500 of these!!" The excitement and happiness on his face absolutely gave me more pleasure than I had ever expected to come from that group!
I love making my outdoor snow and green scenes and they bring me so much peace and relaxation. But....here are links to two projects that I enjoyed so much and that brought me pleasure and a feeling of accomplishment. This one for a Paper Piecing challenge using a Sarah Kay image and that took lots of time and lots of effort but loved the end result. This Pine and Poinsettia for being so much fun and yet took so little time to accomplish something so festive and pretty. Christmas cards are my all time favorite themed projects and I always feel a bit of sadness when the holiday card making season ends. This will be my second year to sell all of my holiday cards at my work to raise money for our Adopt-a-Family project. I save my favorite few to send to family and the rest goes for charity.
Kittie747 I love the Sarah Kay paper tole card. It is beautiful. They're a lot of work, but I try to make one or two each year, and they always get compliments.
This is not mine but I did complete one yesterday and plan on 5 more for Christmas presents--I drove for 2 hours to get to the best LSS in Winnsboro TX, made the cross, cropped until 10 pm and then drove 2 hours back to North Dallas--I am too tired to get mine out of the car but this is my Scrappy Sister Robin's cross. There is a webbie for the woman we SPICE'd it from but I have not done the research just yet to find her. I love the stamp I bought and I can get 6 different crosses from the one stamp! It was super simple and so much fun!
There is so much gorgeousness going on in these projects! I've been busy with stupid homework ever since school started, so I have been missing my stamping and SCS time!
But I DID get a heat embosser last month, and let's just say, heat embosser + SU Medallion = Crazy Awesome Card every time!!
My favorite recent project was this Halloween Egg Box that I made for my hubby overseas. I lined it and filled it with candy. He calls me 'his pumpkin' so the stamp & sentiment were perfect for the occasion.
I get the most joy out of punch art. I can spend hours designing a card and the time flies by. Some of the characters make me laugh. My kids think I'm deranged when they walk into my craft room and I'm in there all alone laughing at a pile of cardstock.
I love seeing everyone's favorite projects. They are all wonderful! I love this project from my gallery. Its my all time favorite and its hanging in our kitchen right now!!
My favorite project is one I just finished today. Looks like I will be doing another version of it on Wednesday, too, as several have asked for a tutorial.
