Default advice on organizing a crop, for charity?

i've never organized a crop at all and am looking for advice from the experienced organizers. how did you advertise? what are must haves?
anything you did and loved/hated?
am thinking of doing a crop and possibly having a sud come in and do a make and take? or just to be there and take orders, same w/a cmc? what do you think? maybe a make and take would be too much?
thanx for any info! and hey even if you've never organized a crop but been to one or more, was there anything you loved/hated? what makes a successful event to you?
thanx

I've never organized a crop, but there is someone in my are that is doing one to raise money for the Canadian Diabetes Association.

The cost is $30, it runs from 9am till 5pm on a Saturday. There is lunch, coffee, snacks, etc. She got donations of supplies/goodies. Your $30 includes food and a "prize pack valued at over $50". There are raffles for other donated prizes. That's about it! It's being held at the Royal Canadian Legion hall nearby, so they have lots of room. Just ask for donations, that's the first step to get things rolling.

Hope it's a success!

Default Help with Crop

I have organized about 4 crops now - all for charity. I have a bit of information I am happy to share with you. If you send me your email address, I'll forward you our flyer and registration form along with a list of what we did and how we did it.
