acetate and tissue....
so According to Beate's tutorial in the resource section you leave the tissue on the acetate. According to this explanation (from the attached document on the WT challenge on 30 ways to use your reinkers) it says to peel the tissue up. Which is it? Mine isn't really peeling, but maybe it isn't dry yet??
Tissue Paper/Window Sheets (Transparency)/Re-inkers: On a sheet of window sheets (transparency), squeeze out a blob of Crystal Effects dimensional glue. Spread with your finger and leave it fairly thick. Drop a few different colors of re-inkers on glue and spread around. Add more drops to achieve a marbled look as desired. Cut a piece of white tissue slightly larger than the glue/ink area and wad it up. Unroll and leave wrinkly. Place on top of glue/ink and set aside to dry (peel back a corner to check that ink is dry). When dry, peel tissue away from acetate and use whole or in pieces for a cool background. Finished paper has the look of stained glass. |
Emily... :D
First THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! For the beautiful RAK you sent me!!! I absolutly adore it... (in fact it's here in front of me on my desk!!!) Second... I have never pulled up the tissue... I don't know how you could if it was dry... It will have a stained glass transparent look especially if mounted on white... I also add a little D.Diamonds to the Crystal Effects for some sparkle! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, again ;) |
You're so very welcome! Thanks you for the clarification....I was tearing the tissue trying to pull it up. I LOVE the dd idea too! I'll have to try that next! The first two are drying, I think I'll make a third to dry while I pick up the boys. Can't wait to see them finished now.
