ACETATE question.

Hello,

I need some help with questions on stamping on acetate. I bought some acetate today at staples and my idea here is Cutting the acetate with my pillow box die and then stamping red apples on the acetate ( for teacher appreciation gifts). Does the classic stampin up ink do okay on acetate and not smudge? OR should I use staz-on ink (blazin red) with stampin up stamps and it be ok. Or shall I say is it okay to use staz-on ink w/ stampin up stamps other then the black.. I am ALL new to stamping......so, please excuse the ridiculous questions.

You need something like staz on. Classic ink will smudge bad and not really dry. You can use staz on ink with any stamps but I recommend staz on cleaner. Its tough to get off. May stain your stamps a bit but they will still work fine!

Hey, now! Not ridiculous questions at all, lol! Every one of us started at the beginning at one time or another, right? Sounds like you're doing fantastic, and your project sounds adorable. If the red Staz-on does happen to stain the rubber a bit, don't fret; it won't hurt them at all. Even if you don't have the Staz-on cleaner, your stamps will still be in good shape, maybe just a bit redder...

If your stamps are not too detailed you can use acrylic paint for stamping on acetate too.
I did the petals on this card with acrylic paint dabbers:

Clean your stamps immediately with water after using acrylic paint.
