I am looking for an embossing powder that is clear with a clear sparkle. Does this describe iridescent ice? I don't want the sparkle to be colored. Does anybody have iridescent ice? Or does anyone know of a clear embossing powder that sparkles.
Thanks,
Alli
I haven't tried the SU embossing powders yet so I can't comment on those, but I have Opalescent powder from Top Boss at home and it's just like you described. It's transparent and will let the ink colour show through while adding a sparkled to it (I use it on my winter cards a lot because the sparkle reminds me of snowflakes).
Hopefully, someone will be able to tell you if SU's iridescent ice produces the same result.
II is what you are looking for. I have it and LOVE it. It gives the look of Dazzling Diamonds without the mess. It doesn't "shed" nearly as much. Get it - you won't regret it
hhhmmmm I wonder if it is the same as Kalidescope (sp) Embossing powder
Barbara
Barbara,
I have kaleidascope. I wanted something that just sparkles with no color. It looks like dew on a petal when it catches the light, just twinkly. I am describing this really badly, but if I used a colored ink you would just have that ink color sparkling, rather than holographic which is blue, green, yellow etc plus the original ink color.
Ally the Iridescent Ice is not visible until it sparkles. It is then multi color sparkles. It is "iridescent" as the name says. the Websters definition is
Producing a display of lustrous, rainbowlike colors: an iridescent oil slick; iridescent plumage.
Brilliant, lustrous, or colorful in effect or appearance: The prelude was as iridescent as a prism in a morning room (Carson McCullers).
So to answer you clearly you will see a rainbow like effect when you see the sparkles...
Hologram Highlights may be more what you are looking for...if you read the description is states it is a "crystal clear base with hologram glitter for stunnig sparkle."
