My husband is an excellent cook and loves to treat the kids to fun breakfasts. This morning he decided to make waffles. Now, he makes his waffles from a cake mix (very yummy!) and typically colors the batter. We've had green (8 y/o's fav color), pink (my fav color), and some other colors. Guess what color we had this morning?
Cool Caribbean...I kid you not! I got the cardstock out and it's the same color. DH just rolled his eyes when I equated the waffles to a SU! color! :-D
It's funny 'cuz these came about by accident one Saturday. We were out of waffle mix so DH just used a cake mix. Did I mention he's a great cook? Hmmm...he's a great guy!
Okay, here is how you do it...
Cake mix (don't look at directions/cheapest brand works best)
2 eggs
milk until silky smooth and pourable
After you make the first one if it isn't sweet enough add powdered sugar to taste. Make sure to spray the waffle iron with oil after each waffle cooks. The higher sugar content of these makes them stick more easily. You can then tint them any color you like or just leave them as is. Very fun and very yummy!

Enjoy! :0)
So you don't add the water or oil to it then??
Sounds delicious!! I will have to try tomorrow!! Thanks!
I could not imagine what cooking waffles could have to do with stamping when I read the first paragraph. I really thought you were in the wrong forum…Thanks for the laugh! Love this story!
