I am thinking of doing a few of these for Christmas gifts but want to get them cheap. I knew you ladies would know just where to look. Thanks for your help.
I got my paint cans at the local Sherwin Williams paint store. They were a great price, 1.29 ea. for the gallon size, and 99 cents for the quart size. These had the lids and handles. I know they also carry them at Home Depot and Lowes, but they quoted me twice what I paid at the paint store.
Good luck,
Alicia
Oh my! I never even thought of Sherwin Williams. I've been buying mine from Home Depot and they are $3.29 for the gallon size. I checked Lowes but the lids didn't stay on so I didn't buy them. Do you remember how much the ones at Sherwin Williams were? Thanks, Carol
Oops, I just noticed that a price was given for the cans at Sherwin Williams. Sorry. I think I will bring the ones back from Home Depot and get those instead. I am so excited. Carol
Hi Carol!
I looked up "paint" in the yellow pages, and called around to get prices. It's possible that each Sherwin Williams is different. I am sure that you can find a better price than what you paid at Office Depot!
Good luck!!
Alicia
Alicia, Good idea about calling around. I don't know why I didn't think of that. It is midnight here so I'm getting a little tired. I'll call tomorrow. Thanks, Carol
Well I went to our Sherwin Williams and the gallon size empty paint cans are $2.99 which isn't much cheaper than the ones I already bought at Home Depot for $3.19. I guess it must be that the Sherwin Williams stores are privetly owned so that's why some charge more than others. Carol
