Well, I have decided to attack the urge to sew on my cards and to buy a paper crimper... My problem is that I'm not sure what brand, style, price or anything. I went to Michaels today and they did not have any crimpers and when I asked the sales girl where I could find one, she looked at me like I had tossed my cookies!!! It was actually quite funny. So, needless to say I still don't have one. I did however buy a Provocraft Sew Crafty Mini sewing machine. I have family in town so have not been able to use it yet!!!
If anyone has one of these or knows of a crimper that is not going to tear up my paper everytime I try to use it, I would so love to know about it.
Thanks so much,
Tracy
I have the Fiskars crimper and never have a problem with it. Our Michaels carrys it, but didn't have any today, because of the big coupon (I was going to buy one for my sister )

I tried one of the crafty sewing machines and hated it. I went back to using my full-size machine. I thought it would be handy to carry to crops, but it didn't give me as nice of a stitch. I hope you have more luck with yours than I did.
The crimper I have is a Fiskars and you can get them at Michaels or Joann's. Try ebay.... ya never know.
I have the fiskars crimper, bought from SU years ago. Still love it. You can buy one at other stores but cost is somewhat comparable to Su unless you use a coupon.
I also have the mini sewing machine-its not my favorite. I don't like that it doesn't lock your stitching very well at the end of the task like a regular machine does. It is alright but, I am not too impressed with it- it was a gift last xmas.
Check Micheals again - it could be they were just out of them I know my Micheals only had one left - check by where they carry all the Fiskers stuff (cutters, scissors, etc...) I think they usually cost about $16 but if you use a 40% coupon and it is the same one as in the SU catalog
