Default Inside message for Hanukkah card

I am making Christmas cards for my faculty, and want to include one professor who is Jewish. I have a simple $1 Michael's "Happy Hanukkah" stamp that I'm using, but don't have anything appropriate for the inside sentiment.

Do you think a simple "Shalom" would be okay? I don't want to accidentally say something that would be offensive to someone who observes Hanukkah instead of Christmas.

Thanks for any insight y'all might have.

Kat

It's so nice that you are making a special Hanukkah card. I think that is so great!

Truthfully, "Shalom" is kind of odd for the inside of a Hanukkah card. Do you need to stamp something on the inside of the card? Or can you just write a message? Something like "Happy Holidays from our family to yours" is fine.

If you want something more "Hanukkah-y" I have the old Jewish Greetings set from Stampin' Up that says "May each candle you light bring warmth to your heart and home." I can stamp it on something and send it to you if you want.

Default THANKS!

Yapha: Thanks so much for your input. That's EXACTLY what I needed! I love the sentiment you've provided. My SU demo has a whole room of stamps (she's been doing it for over 10 years), so she probably has this set....but if not, I might take you up on your very kind offer.

Again, thanks a million!!
