Default 1/4 or 1/8?

Do you prefer the 1/4" or 1/8" Karen Foster snap stamps? Why?

Default 1/4" or 1/8"

I goofed and hit send before I was ready... here's the poll... please include your rationale as to why you chose your choice.

I believe that even if there were an edit button, it still doesn't allow you to add in a poll after the post has already been launched. You would have to initiate a new thread anyway, to get the poll feature installed. I quit doing polls, cuz I kept forgetting about that and having to launch another thread. But, then, ya' hafta remember,

Julie = Tech=Tard

chuckle!

Oh, and to answer your question, I've never owned any kinda snaps, so I can't say, but I'm curious to know what everybody uses snaps for!

I prefer the 1/4, found that the 1/8 was just too small. Curious to see what other think! Linda

OK I think I have the 1/4 inch one, it suits me just fine. The 1/8 would be cute also but I don't "need" both!

I don't think you can choose, it depends on the project. This is a tag card I made with the 1/4"

Tag card

and this is a 3 x 3 card I made with the 1/8"

3 x 3 card

It really does depend on how prominent you want the words to be. I would say go for both, I love mine! Sorry, more enabling!

I wanna know too.. what are 'snap stamps'? Is this an alphabet set? Is this a SU! product? Or sold thru SU! and elsewhere like SAMJ, etc? I've seen other referrals to them on SCS.. so my curiosity is stirred up. Thanks..
Have a beautiful weekend!

Stormy, these are alphabet stamps that hook together sort of like Legos. They come in sets with generally 2 of each letter (maybe different sizes are not the same number). I use the 1/4 inch for sentiments on the fronts of cards. There are no numbers included. The letters are a bit funky and the space is a little larger than many users like. But I use mine when I need a different saying or sometimes to fit in a cerain space.

There are a lot of threads about them - probably a search of snap stamps would work.

I like the 1/4" size ... I think the 1/8" is just too small for my preference ...

Julie, you are tooooo funny! I guess we should clarify....I believe we're talking about Karen Foster Snap Stamps, available on-line and sometimes in Joann's or your LSS; I like both sizes; as someone before me said, it depends on the card; I used both on this Silly Card. They do come in handy when you can't find just the right sentiment!

I like both--also got the 1/2 inch casual font and don't like how this font translated into the larger size--looks too "kiddish" for me, if that makes sense??!!

I have the 1/4 inch casual set. I've only used it once because although I like the size, I don't like the spacing. I'm actually trying to trade it.

I have both and like the size of the 1/8. The 1/4 is cute. I might have to try and cut the letters like others are saying

Oh, that gave me a chuckle!

I can see how handy they can come in, as well . . .

I love the concept of these, and really like the font used in the Casual set, but, I am concerned the spacing will indeed be too wide for my taste . . .

They are made by Karen Foster, not SU. As I've said in other threads, I sold all of mine because I found the spacing too wide (Julie, we are on the same wave length today...). Anyway, I thought I had sold all of them, but just found a set in the back of a drawer!! LOL

I bought the 1/2 and 1/4 inch casual, and I wish I'd bought the 1/4 and 1/8. I think the 1/2 inch is just too big--otherwise, it depends on the card, the sentiment, etc. I may buy myself the 1/4 inch (unless I spend too much at the convention in York, PA next weekend).
