I need your experience please do any of you have any funny verses for the inside of a card that I have done along the fishing theme please, my Nana has asked me to make a card for her son-in-law who is seriously into fishing, which I have done this afternoon, and very pleased I am with it, will be posting it later, but she likes a good verse and I wondered if anybody had any or could point me in the right direction for a funny fishing verse!!!! if there is such a thing
The only humourous card sayings I know for fishing are about cod. Unless the recipient does ocean fishing and jigs for cod, I don't know how to tie that in.
"Just dropping you a line to send you a birthday cod" or something like that. I've also seen Christmas Cod cards (had to resist a Christmas cod stamp set recently!).
there's always the popular "fishing you a....." happy birthday etc. Along the cod lines: heard you were ______(sick, having a birthday etc) so I made you a cod
I did one for my uncle that on the outside said "Fishing you..." and on the inside said " A crappie birthday!" Of course a crappie is a kind of fish! He really liked it.
I used to make and sell a lot of decorative/folk art painting and a very good seller was a rustic wooden board with some small wooden fish on it with the line
"fish tremble at the very mention of my name"
(for the card you might rather put, fish tremble at the very mention of your name)

For some reason I missed this when it started...
Here is a card I have had in my favorites for quite a while. It is not exactly for the inside of the card, but I thought it had some great lines. In fact, I sort of did my own version on a computer for a card front. It is too late for the original question, but maybe some one will enjoy it.
