Default Scrapbook Albums

Good morning,

I have been 📔 for many years and used CM albums for most. But wondering what you all prefer or recommend? I am looking to make a couple wedding day scrapbooks this summer and looking for suggestions!

thanks!

I also used CM albums for many years, but several years ago, I changed to 3 ring style and purchase them 1/2 price when on sale at Hobby Lobby. I found CM albums too difficult to work with if I wanted to add or rearrange pages But, this might not be the best kind for you use. Paper Studio also makes another style ; albums with page protectors, where you can easily remove a page, without taking the whole book apart like you have to with the CM ones.
Hope this helps.

I use 3 ring also, from Hobby Lobby, Michael's, American Crafts and WeRMemory Keepers. If you can't find any locally, check scrapbook.com or HSN. Refill pages are easy to find for 12x12 3 ring.

Another vote for the 3-ring binders. As my other albums fall apart, I'm replacing them with the binders. Those are the only albums I will buy now.

I found the CM albums were challenging to move pages around in also, and was pretty excited when I tried a different brand that I could change them around in much easier. Not sure if it is because I started with CM, but I always felt their brand was made a bit better. May have to try a 3 ring - just wondering how the two page layouts look. I'm used to post bound where they are fairly seamless.

Thanks for all your input!

The seamless look for 2 page spreads of a CM or post-bound album is a check in the "pro" column for this type of album. I learned to accept the look of two-page spreads in my 3 ring albums because everything else is better, IMO. You can easily remove and rearrange pages and they hold more pages.

Not having the seamless look isn't a deal breaker for me. I enjoy the convenience and durability of the ring binders, and that's what is important to me. Your preferences might differ, but it doesn't bother me.

I love the CM albums, but they are out of my price range. I use CTMH postbound albums. I have a few 3 ring albums but they take up too much room on your lap while you are trying to look at the pages. And I do not like the gap between pages because I do mostly 2 page multi photo layouts.
