DH went to get the other color paint for the rest of the living room. He;s doing 2 smaller walls now and we'll do the rest slowly. He also got some wood so he can start Tanner's book case I figure at the rate we're getting some painting done, doing some here and there, we'll have the rest(livingroom, hallway, entryway) painted by the weekend..give or take a day or two...

Hey ladies! I'm going to hijack and see if anyone knows the answer to a question I've been puzzling over.

RIght now I print all my pics at home, I'm happy with the convinence and even the quality, but I'm wondering if anyone knows about archival quality of pictures printed from home. If they aren't going to last as long as professionally printed ones I'll have to change the way I do things.

I think you should ask HP or another photo place. I certainly don't think HP would be selling photo paper and have it not last. I would expect it to. If it's on your computer and it didn't last in 10 years...at least you would still have the original?

Of course you would still need to protect your pages and use archival materials...does that help?

Gina, I'm not sure if this will answer your question. I have a box of Kodak paper and found this on the box.

NOTE: inkjets prints are produced using inks that contain color dyes and /or pigments. Depending on storage conditions, the colors in inkjet prints may change over time. To achieve the longest print life, your print should be displayed in a glass frame, plastic sleeve or photo album.

You not only have to look at the paper quality but also at your ink. I have heard that replacement ink (generic) isn't nearly as long lasting as name brand - made for your printer ink.

Hi Melissa, Diana, and Donna. One more conference to go.. and my house is a mess!! Donna, you and Diana are putting me to shame - look at you painting and fixing and decorating! Wow! The good news is that the guy who just did my dad's bathroom repairs is supposed to call me and come out and give me aquote on doing Bryce's room and some of our other construction. So Bryce might just have his own room by the time pipsqueak is born!!

It was all darcy's fault that got me going. I have the kitchen to do but can not decide on a color. I hope you can get the guy to help out. The boy needs his own room.

Hey, thanks for the ideas you had. I was kinda thinking along those lines, but wanted to be sure. I'll probably keep checking and see if I can find anything else too.

Evening ladies. I'm glad someone finally started a new thread I just got back from a walk. I need to rest for a bit and then get up to make some spaghetti for dinner.

I traced the shape I wanted onto the chipboard then kind of 'precut' it with the exacto knife then really cut it with scissors. It's harder with smaller shapes but not impossible.
