I spent several hours balling 2 skeins of yarn this afternoon. One was a piece of cake and the other was a booger taking 2-1/2 hours.

If that is true there will be some sad people around thanksgiving. There was a long time around here that like Target didn't have any waffles because of a "waffle shortage" I didn't need any, but the sign for it always made me laugh.

I love board games!! I don't have any though I need to get some when I have some extra cash... the ones I like all need more players though. Crainum, pictionary etc know any good ones that only need two players?

Have any of you tried the cleaner called "Bar Keeper's Friend"? I bought some yesterday at Target and I think I am in love! I tried it on my sink and it worked GREAT. I have to try my stove and bathtub before I am sure

When I lived in Hawaii someone told me it was the only thing that got that nasty red dirt out.... it was already at the point where I knew I was leaving and didn't care about resell value and leaving it clean so I never bought it!

With the cleaning supplies. It is in a circular can--kind of like A-jax or Comet powder would be. It cost 1.75, and is well worth it in my opinion.

My mom used to swear by it. We used it instead of Comet or Ajax.

I had such a wonderful, snuggly weekend with Josh that it was dreadful getting up and coming back to work this weekend. Good news is I got some much needed rest time and that this weekend should be just as laid back (cept less sunggles since Josh will be gone fishing).

Hi Aubs~

We had no internet service when we got home from my brother's house
last night. Jerry thought it might be the power cord for the router, but at
9:00 at night we were stuck.

He stopped at Best Buy on his way home from work today to see if they
would test the power cord. I'm not sure if they did or not, but they didn't
have a replacement for it anyway. Next he went to an AT&T store since
that's the kind of router we have with our AT&T internet service. Big AT&T store & they didn't have the power cord. They sent him to the AT&T kiosk at the mall. They didn't have it. He went back to Best Buy &
had to get a whole freakin' new router (almost $100) to get the stupid power cord. He's sooooooooooooo aggravated!!! He man shops. He does NOT like having to run all over the place to get something.

Hmmmmmmm...that's a thought. The thing is whether he can find just
the power cord by itself. Best Buy doesn't sell it, nor does AT&T WTH???. In order to get a new power cord he had to get the whole
new router. Really?????? Pretty crappy of AT&T, in my opinion.

Same deal with my laptop power cord... I lost of the pieces to it called a dongle... small piece I would guess worth about two dollars. But they don't sell that tiny piece so I would have had to buy a whole new cord! Lucky I found it but it's just a bummer that people are more interested in making a buck than good service.

Jerry said pretty much the same thing. The power cord is made in China,
so it probably costs AT&T about $2, that they could probably sell retail
for $20, & people might not be happy to pay that, but it sure beats having
to spend 4 times that amount. No...they'd rather soak their customers for the cost of a whole new router just to get the stinkin' power cord.

Power cord debacle update...

Jerry found an AT&T place to send the old one in, pay $10 for a new one, & when we get that, we'll pack up the other new one from the router
emsemble & return it to Best Buy.

ETA: I take it back...we don't have to return our old power cord.
Jerry just ordered the new one.

Home from work. Relatively easy day. Basically if you waited this long to bring your tax info in you are on extension and if we get it done by Thursday we do.

Cubs WIN!!! My sister, BIL, brother, & SIL ended up going to the Cubs game today. I don't the deets of what kind of tickets they were able to get, or how expensive they were, but it was a really good game. I kinda
watched from the 4th inning till the end.

We're meeting them at Garibaldi's in about an hour for dinner. It'll be
our last time to see them since their flight back home is early tomorrow morning.

Later, gators!

They are rechargeable, but I think I left it on the charger too long and broke it. Now it won't hold a charge.

I guess that is good for you guys...not so much for the procrastinator.

I'm reading a pretty good book. It's called "Rematch", the 2nd in the series of Lauren Holbrook Series by Erynn Mangum. It's about a single Christian girl in her 20s that has decided she is good at matchmaking. The first one is called "Miss Match". As soon as I finished it, I downloaded the 2nd one to my Kindle. I'm about 1/3 thru it and now my Kindle is broken. All I'm gonna say is Mark and the TV remote where involved. And I was pretty mad!! But a new one is on it's way and should be here tomorrow. But I want to read my book now!!! (pretty good pouting, huh?)

Sounds like a fun series. Too bad you have to wait to finish it! I don't know if I could get used to not having a "real" book in my hands.
