LSC225 International Flair
Hello everyone...todays xchallenge for you is called international flair and your task is to make a card using a different language on it! I think this will be really fun! I am loving living in Greece, but the Greek language is proving a little difficult for me...although I'm having fun trying...I have even been hired to make 50 baptism invites...yeah!!!!

Anywho, you can use any embelishments and any colors and stuff, but be sure to limit them...this is the limited supplies after all!

My Samples

Thinking of you...in French!

Thank you so much for playing along with us!

Sorry for the late/early/middle of the night post! Can't wait to see what you all make!

Oh man now I really wish I had got that MFT set "Meet Me At The Cafe" :0 I will have to look and see what I have. Thanks for the challenge. My next one may be to clean up my stamp room after today LOL

Cook22 06-19-2009 02:21 AM

Oh, this is fun. Somewhere I managed to write and save efarhisto poli in the proper Greek script - must see can I find it. Or I could go Irish :D.
Loved seeing the insde of your invitation - we did a year with a Cypriot engineering professor who taught Greek classes at night.

RJP111 06-19-2009 03:02 AM

hmmm, I have a non-SU! BG stamp that is a different language. I'll have to see if I can find that stamp when I get home from work this afternoon; it's been ages since I've used it!

n5stamper 06-19-2009 03:36 AM

Here is my MERCI' TEXTED.

god's gal 06-19-2009 03:39 AM

Oh! I hate that I'm leaving town today & can't play. I've been thinking lately of doing a card using MY Greek. My 12 year old son & I took a Biblical Greek class this year & I can actually read what you wrote (was wondering if modern Greek was still pretty similar -- yep!). Will HAVE to play when I get back -- thanks for the challenge!

Cook22 06-19-2009 06:17 AM

I had fun with this.
I started out by taking a photo of a page of an old Irish Bible, but I've used several photos on cards recently, so I opted for this Greek card specially for Silvia :D
Funny thing, I copied it out of my Greek language course-book, but the spell-check took an accent off. I went with the spell-check.
It's All Greek to Me.

I used Gratuitous Graffiti because it worked so quickly and effectively for this challene. For this card, it is all in the ink, it made it elegant:

Many ways to say thanks

Here is my card for today! I used spanish, computer generated.

RobinRingtail 06-19-2009 12:03 PM
