Batteries are not included in this challenge... but everything else is.. sort of. You are making cards this week that can be used for any sentiment you need. Why? You won't be able to put any sentiment or verse on the card. You will be able to use them for any and all occassions. I stress about not having the right sentiment and I finally figured out cards don't have to have them.
OK... This was a stretch of a title, but I couldn't resist the prechallenge of guessing the real challenge. Congrats to the winners Gladd-lyStamping and dawnmercedes. I had fun and hope you all did too.
OK.. I got another question about how the title fits. It doesn't! The story goes like this:
I wanted all occassion cards... all sentiments can be used/included for a card with no sentiment on the front... I had "included" on the brain... the term "batteries not included" jumped in my head.... and when Barb asked for a clue.... batteries hopped out of my mouth, I mean fingers onto the keyboard... and then she was guessing... so I made a game of it
So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
Please put LSC60 in the keyword box when uploading!
Limit: no sentiments or verses
Stamps: any images or backgrounds
cardstock and ink: any
embellishments: any
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!

I am making a bunch of cards for all of my May birthdays for family (I have 4 family members with May bd's --- all women). So I am making up a bunch of notecards. This is timely... although since 2 of the 4 are SCS members, I will post some later next month. ;)
Not too far of a stretch for me, since most of the cards I've done recently don't have sentiments -- but fun! I still don't get how "batteries not included" fit though!
Thank's Jen. I have done this in the past..making cards without sentiments. I will usually tack something on at the last minute before they are ready to get sent. Will be busy making cards friday. Going to bed now. G'night!

It doesn't! But it sounded better than "Just Because".
Jen...this is great...i was thinking today while i was trying to put my last card together that I didn't have room for a sentiment...and wow, if I had known you were going to do this, I would have saved it...instead I found a way to use a sentiment. However, I am still trying to workout this idea in my head with poppin pastels and cracked glass, so it may just work for your challenge...I look forward to working on this tomorrow night! Thanks for putting this all together for us!

No batteries here! I have just been thinking about this while making cards lately so that when an occasion pops up, I will be ready! Wahoo, Jen! Great challenge.
Ok, you guys must have shut down the site with all of your crazy guesses and smilies last night! I tried to follow the chat and join in, but I couldn't get it!
Gotta go to work (preschool teacher) and then I'll come home and play!
Almost everything in my gallery fits this challenge.
Anyway, here's one from a year ago that I particularly liked. It's pending right now but I've gotta get off of here and get to work. Hopefully, I will have time to play this weekend!

Sorry! I don't know how that happened. I think I've got it fixed now, but the uploads are not getting approved this morning. Hmmm. Hopefully it will be up soon.

I finally got around to making a card! Yeah, it's been a very busy week! This is my triple challenge card...gotta get caught up. Now I'm going to try this new link thing out. I hope that it works! if so, I learned two new things this week...the other being how to make a rak album.
I have been trying to do exactly this in recent days.....I find that when I put a sentiment on the front, I always need some other sentiment....by leaving the sentiment off it leaves the world wide open....thanks for encouraging this new habit I am trying to acquire....
here's one from the sketch challenge this week....ignore the color of the ribbon...IRL it matches the card.... Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
 Just got back into town late last night! Hockey fever has sure hit my home town. Jen, thanks for a very easy challenge. I have a workshop tonight that I am not even close to being ready for. I suspect one of the cards will be todays challenge.
Hi Jen-great challenge and since I own very few stamps right up my alley. Guess what you are saying is the card should fit any occasion including sympathy so should steer away from too cutsie/humerous, right? Hope to get started a little later.

Knotted bug and Manly Postage I thought the postage card was kind of manly. the bug card is done with the nearly forgotten craft from the 70's, macram Thanks for looking

A complete tutorial on how to make the macrame dragonfly as shown in my limited supply challenge card has now been posted on my daughter's web site.
Here's mine for today's challenge. Such a good idea--I have a hard time NOT stamping a sentiment when I do a card--just looks naked without one! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

This challenge is perfect! I've been stressing all week long about a card that my mom asked me to make... and I couldn't find "just the right one". I made this one not even knowing what the challenge was going to be: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I have another in the works, but I need to get my kids lunch so I'll have to finish and post later.
