LSC219 - THAT'S A Holiday? {5/8/09}
LSC219 – THAT’S A Holiday???
I just can’t believe we are into the second week of May already! Mother’s Day is almost here, and Memorial Day is later in the month, but will be here sooner than we know it. But there are many other holidays in May too.
For this challenge we are making projects that reflect and represent any May celebration or holiday. I have listed a few fun ones, and some traditional holidays as well, but you are welcome to Google “May holidays” as there are MANY more! (Who decides this stuff anyway?)
Did you know May 8th (this post date) is NO SOCKS Day and HAVE A COKE Day?? Sounds good to me!
And Moms will like May 10th – CLEAN UP YOUR ROOM Day!
Please upload only NEW creations for this challenge.
Your project should clearly show the theme of your chosen May holiday or celebration. No other limits. List your holiday in your description, please.
Keyword: LSC219 (no spaces)
May is:
American Bike Month
Asparagus Month
Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month
National BBQ Month
National Egg Month
National Strawberry Month
During May:
Save the Rhino Day (May 1)
Teacher Appreciation Week
National Pet Week
Mother’s Day (second Sunday in May)
Twilight Zone Day (May 11)
National Dance Like a Chicken Day (May 14)
Armed Forces Day (third Saturday in May)
Pack Rat Day (May 17)
Circus Day (May 19th)
Memorial Day (May 30th-observed last Monday in May)
Again, there are many more – these are just to get you going!
MY SAMPLE for Armed Forces Day

Uploading: Remember the keyword is without spaces. Use a comma between keywords with a space after each comma.
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!

GREAT challenge, Judy!
I needed to make a Mother's Day card for Mother from my siblings, so I went with a "traditional" holiday!
Here's today's submission

So how fun is THIS?!?!?! Thanks, Judy! I immediately knew which holiday I wanted (even knew what stamp and sentiment I would use!), and then my husband validated my choice without even knowing it... My card is here:
