LSC210 (3/6/09) On Your Mark, Get Set...
Go!
That's right...today's challenge is good old TIME!
Let's see what you can do in 30 minutes...or LESS.
Some ways to cut your time on a card:
1. Take 5-7 minutes to think about a color combo or layout or theme before starting on the actual card.
2. Cut back on layers and embellies.
3. Make a smaller card...haha.
4. Just have fun! Be carefree…and quick!
If you already create cards in 30 minutes or less, give yourself a shortened time frame. Be honest...you may have to set a timer!
Examples:
Milk and Cookies
LSC210 Gallery
Uploading: Remember the keyword is without spaces. Use a comma between keywords with a space after each comma.
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!
Need help linking a card? Follow these instructions!
1. Open 2 windows: One window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Got to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
You’re done!

I might have to try this one...honestly, it takes me atleast 30 minutes to get all my supplies out...and more than that to put them away...and my actual crafting time is usually too long as I am always changing my mind about what I am trying to do...
I will force myself to accept this challenge...tomorrow...

I picked up a cardmaking magazine this morning at the store and I devoured it whenever I had a moment. So, layouts have been milling around in my mind all day! Finally, I found time to make 2 cards the same, but with different designs inside the circle.
As is the norm, my children were there "helping me" stamp, too....always takes twice the time as it otherwise would.....

8 minutes
My card took 8 minutes.
I used the ATC I created for the Ways to Use it challenge today and said to myself, "Self, what are you going to do with that?" I answered, "Why not use it on a full card?", and then Dawn's challenge came up to make a fast card. Well, that worked perfectly.
Take a look at my card and let me know what you think.
Thanks!

Ok, I decided to another card before I head off to get some sleep. I just took some medicine so I'm getting sleepy. I called it "Thanks Berry Much". Thanks again for posting early.

I will try a couple more of these on the weekend! I like the freedom of "creating as I go" instead of over analyzing! LOL Thanks for the great challenge, Dawn!

This is a great challenge! Really pushed me to think fast and not dawdle over "do I use this one, or that one?" Really good for me. Took me 18 min from start to finish, and that included getting everything out and putting it back. I may have to play again.
Delight
Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the early post, Dawn. Mom had ask for a set of 'silly' note cards so added another to the pile--in this case, 30 min. is a good thing (lol)!

Ready In 30 Minutes Give or Take A Couple
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...3766?cat=16129
This was fun, so I did set the timer because I was baking potatoes for our company potluck tomorrow so I used the oven timer.
I have to admit, I did go about 3 minutes over, but during my given time frame I had to stop about 4 times to attend to my little ones, so I called it even.
This was fun, hope you like it!

Yikes!! I used time as one of the limitations recently when Judy asked us to stretch ourselves. I'll use time this morning while I am at work for thinking, and then see what I can come up with. Given that my desk is still littered with bits and pieces from the ATCs yesterday, I should be able to find things to make a quick card. There are even a couple of stamped and coloured images on my desk - does that count if I use them??
Thanks, Dawn.
