LSC68 - Office Originals
This week, we are limited on the embellishments we can use to those we find in the office. Examples would be staples, standard paper clips, garage sale tags, label stickers, file cards, etc.
Please put LSC68 in the keyword box when uploading! Limit: embellishments Stamps: any cardstock and ink: any embellishments: office supplies If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping! If you need help with uploading your card to the gallery or posting a link, click here! //www.splitcoaststampers.com/fo...442#post440442 Sorry... I didn't have time to add samples this week. |
Oh how fun -- hope I can get it done today!!!
|
I can't believe I'm the first one here. Wow!!
|
I'll be checking in earlier this week. It's my last day of school and I plan on making it a short one :-D Can't wait to see your creations!
|
How fun Jen! I will try to play tomorrow. I have VSN stuff to take care of. I will try to do the challenge anyway though. Sounds like lots of fun!
|
Cool! I got some colored binder clips last week! Those should work, right? Thanks Jen! Hope your last day is great today!!
|
Oh this is funny Jen...I just about used office supplies for yesterday's Ways to Use It challenge....will try to find some time to play along!
|
neat Jen... hope I get some time.............;)
|
Oh, I wish I could play, I have lots of office supplies, but we're off to the beach and won't be back until next Thursday. I have a computer there, so I'll sneak on to see what everyone's doing. Great challenge Jen!
|
Well I have paperclips, staples, garage sale tags and labels, so I should be able to come up with something don't ya think -- this is already confusing me!
|
Going yard sailing this morning - I'll try to play when I get back (maybe I'll find some supplies at the yard sales and be inspired!).
This sounds fun! |
oh... kewel.... I have some really neat 'clips' that I 'borrowed' from our supply room at work.... hey, no one uses them, they look like they've been there for ages!! I was gonna ask if I could have the whole box.... :)
Off to think and play |
Yeah! I got mine done before leaving for work today! (helped in part by the fact that I actually colored this doggie with my new Prismacolor pencils a few weeks ago when I first trying them out!) I love using these binder clips on cards. Thanks for a fun challenge Jen, and more hugs and prayers to you for better health for your family!!!

I really need some stamp therapy today! Thanks Jen.
|
Great challenge, Jen. I have all that stuff. Yippee!
|
I think all I've got is staples, so I guess I figure a way for using those. I did use them on my vbs treats I did yesterday, but they were cello toppers so that kinda doesn't count!

Wow can't believe I got here on the first page! That never happens! Must be summer is a busier time for people than I thought. Will find time to play today.
|
DH told me last night that one of my CCRAK to be cards isn't as nice as the others so maybe I can embellish it with some office supplies to improve it.
OH wait it has two kinds of ep- Is embossing powder an embellishment? |
woohoo...got one done before starting my busy day! combined several challenges here (didn't get yesterday's done:( )
thanks Jen! http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...01700&cat=6559 |

I don't often get out the stapler so I had fun with this one. I figured hodgepodge was "officey" enough, too. I also turned my card into a file folder. I've always liked the look of "officey" cards but haven't ever ventured there - thanks Jen!

I made a bookmark a little bit ago and have this one left over so I had a sample ready to go!!
The bookmark has the ribbon & fibers attached with a staple. Bookmark |

Just wondering. The effect is really nice. |
Well, I emptied the supplies cupboard -- just kidding! But I did use a lot of office supplies -- staples, paper clip, rubber band, metal rimmed tags, and the Wall Street Journal. Here's my best office supplies.

OK - time to head to the basement and make something .

I have a stupid question???
If you use baby oil, doesn't the oil stain the card stock?? |

basic love with office tag
Here is a basic love card using an office tag that I got from DH during the 12 days of Christmas when he spoiled me!

Ooooo....an embelishment challenge. Cool. Let's see what I can do!
|
I have seen some really cards using labels, so I thought I'd try it myself. I also used that wonderful tool SAMJ to line up the diamonds, as best as I could.
Office Labeled Flowers |
I just uploaded my office supply card -- what fun -- great challenge -- wish I had time to do more, but I don't -- so this is it:

Turned out a little on the gaudy side!! I wrapped a rubber band around my brayer and inked it from a spectrum pad to create the background.
Not-so-beautiful Batik |
Looks like fun! Trying to get ready for vacation next week, hopefully I can play tonight!!
|
Oh Jen!! Thanks for this challenge. I actually found myself giggling while making this card! Had a blast with it!

OK - Here's my card. I loved the colors but really struggled with this one. I think I had an idea in my head and just couldn't get it onto the paper. Don't 'cha hate it when that happens??
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...301841&cat=754 (pending as of 1:55 CT) Thanks for the great challenge Jen! |
