LSC257 Stretching the Limits (1/29/10)
This weekly challenge started off as a way to get newbie stampers into stamping with their "limited supplies." But so many stampers have so many toys and really want to make lovely, involved cards. The CAS (Clean and Simple) Challenge is nearly a year old. (Happy Birthday, CAS!) It is a great challenge for those looking for a crisp, easy feel to their cards. But, what we are lacking in the general forum, as far as I know, are....3D challenges. When it's my turn to post, I am going to be "limiting" the challenge to all things with more than 2 dimensions. Yeah!
This challenge is all about…the MILK CARTON (which is a SCS tutorial). They come in many different sizes and can hold anything from candies to new socks! Here is one easy template that works great with a scorpal. Mybearybest's example Dawnmercedes' example view 1 view 2 Keyword: LSC257 and be sure to load your creations in the "2,4,6,8 box" category. LSC257 Gallery Uploading: Remember the keyword is without spaces. Use a comma between keywords with a space after each comma. If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping! Need help linking a card? Follow these instructions! 1. Open 2 windows: One window for your card and one for this thread. 2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link. 3. Got to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on) 4. Click EDIT. Click COPY 5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE. You’re done! |
I was just looking at the tutorial for milk cartons and thinking I should make one. Now I have a great excuse. Thanks Dawn! and I look forward to more 3D challenges.

Thanks for challenging me to try something new, Dawn! :)

What a fun challenge, Dawnmercedes! This is my first attempt to make one. Took me awhile to figure out exactly where to make the score lines since I have a Scor-it and it isn't set up with those measurements. A little trial and error with computer paper got me on my way. It makes a darling container for treats. After I was done and photographed it, I realized I should not have made those diagonal score marks on the front and back flaps! Oh well, this will be a protype for future ones. Thanks!
