LSC241 - Simply "Fall"ing . . . (10-08-09)
Im trying to take us back to our stamping roots with the challenge this week. We all started with the basics stamps, paper and ink, so that is where I would like everyone to return.
Todays challenge is to do a FALL-themed card with stamps, paper and ink . . . and NO embellishments! Thats right . . . no buttons, no ribbon, no brads, no eyelets, no stickers, no rub-ons, no chipboard, no primas . . . YIKES!! So, you ask, What CAN I use? I didnt want to leave you TOTALLY bereft of the ability to use other things, so you can use diecuts (which include punches) and/or embossing folders. Just keep in mind that the focal point of your creation should be something STAMPED and not something diecut (you CAN use a Nestabilities die, for example, but there must be something stamped in center of it!) And make sure to use a Fall theme on your card Halloween or lovely fall leaves or foliage or something of that sort. Have fun!! Here is my sample: Pumpkin Patch Keyword: LSC241 LSC241 Gallery Uploading: Remember the keyword is without spaces. Use a comma between keywords with a space after each comma. If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping! Need help linking a card? Follow these instructions! 1. Open 2 windows: One window for your card and one for this thread. 2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link. 3. Got to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on) 4. Click EDIT. Click COPY 5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE. Youre done! |

Thanks for the early post - this should be a nice quick easy card when I get back from work. But not a chance of combining it with the WT challenge which I missed yesterday, sigh. I think I know exactly the stamp to use :D.

I actually made two cards for this challenge. When you can't use embellishments, it cuts down on the time.

Here's another entry today. I didn't know what simple closure I could use for these until I saw the clever way LaLatty used the word window punch out piece as a clasp. Thanks for the idea. |

BUT..... Everyone Else's cards look great! |
