It's time to get out of the A2 size rut! Ever run out of those invite envies? Want to create some cards that fit in legal envies or the smaller sized. These common envelopes are cheaper to buy too. So..why not design in that format once in a while!
For a Small Tall card base: start with a paper that is 7x6 inches...score at 3.5 inches along the 7 inch side. The finished size will be 3.5 x 6 inches.
For a Long Tall card base: start with a paper that is 8x9 inches...score at 4 inches on the short side. The finished size will be 4. 9 inches.

Great idea! I bought some long envies from a dollar bin earlier this year, and have never used them. Vanilla and gray, from Joann's. I'll have to ponder this as I try to sleep. ;)

Thank you so much for this challange. I get so comfortable only making A2 size cards that I don’t think of giving other sizes an opportunity. I wish I could get in a rut with my body size. That on the other side only gets bigger and wider
Here is my card F4A450 long kindness by Preethisc - at Splitcoaststampers
for my small tall cards- I made a pair of cards with horizontal orientations- a Halloween/fall themed card with spiders, a pumpkin, and a wreath of leaves; my second card is a pickup with a band of geometric shapes with a fussy cut pickup with a trio of Christmas trees. My second card was inspired by a childhood memory of my dad almost losing our freshly cut Christmas tree out the back of our station wagon when making a fast turn onto the highway!!
Here's leaves and trees

Thanks for introducing me to the fun small tall sized card! It was perfect to recycle a Brusho bg that I wasn't happy with. Here's my card, Punkin Kitty's Halloween.
hope this works, first time to add from gallery to a challenge thread : )
Hope you like my Julie Nutting card for a friend.
thanks for looking, Teresa
