F4A13 - Buttons & Bows - 05/21/10
First, I need to apologize for the lateness of this post (I try to have it up earlier than this!!). This is a direct result of my darling daughter informing me ... not very long ago ... that she had to bring some sort of food that represents her heritage to school tomorrow ... WHAT??? But, I digress ...
Today's challenge is to make something with buttons and/or ribbon ... be creative ... try something new with them (I have to admit that I finally used STAPLES on this card to hold the ribbon in place ... never done THAT before!). Make bows, use the buttons as an accent or to highlight your image ... you don't necessarily have to use BOTH, but maybe I will give out bonus points if you DO!!
That's pretty much it ...
Here is my sample:
Button Bouquet
Keyword: F4A13
F4A13 Gallery
Uploading: Remember the keyword is without spaces. Use a comma between keywords with a space after each comma.
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!
Need help linking a card? Follow these instructions!
1. Open 2 windows: One window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Got to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
You’re done!

I'll look forward to this, just have to get some chores out of the way, and packing...
Definitely want to give it a try, though - I need to use my buttons more.

Chuckle, chuckle...........at least your DD gave you a few hours warning! I was visiting my son last week and my oldest grandson had the same assignment and asked his dad to stop at a restaurant on the way to school.........first time he even mentioned it!

FUN times! This was MUCH, MUCH faster than yesterday's challenge! Thanks for letting me play guilt-free this morning! My Happy Buttons 'n' Bows card only took about twenty minutes - a record for me! Thanks for a fun challenge, and thanks for looking!

This is a FUN challenge, Wendy! I love adorning my cards with buttons and bows...usually as one element...a button on a bow. This frame just "begged" for some button flowers!

Since my DH's side is VERY German (and I have lotsa German recipes), we made Bienenstich ... which is a cake with a buttercream filling and an almond glaze on top! She'd BETTER get an A ...

Bonus points for both, but it's literally a 5-minute card inspired by finding that big red button in my button box.
Should have some time to check the gallery after I get out to my aunt's house...
