Default Need help finding a recipe.....

Hi everyone!!

Many years ago (at least 20+) I had a recipe for a side dish called Hawaiian Rice. I made it for a friend's 30th birthday luau. It was delicious and tasted quite tropical. It had white rice (I believe already cooked), crushed pineapple (I can't remember if drained or not), julienne carrots, julienne green pepper, chicken bouillon granules......I cannot remember if there are any other ingredients, the quantities, directions or how many it served.

Fast forward to present day - - I am turning 50 in June and am having a luau and want to serve this rice. The problem??? I can't find the dang recipe card. I took it out of the recipe box a couple of months ago and now cannot find it.

I've checked on Google, Taste of Home and the archives of the local paper all with no success. Does anyone know of a recipe like this? If so, can you share it with me?

Thanks in advance for your help - it is much appreciated and making this rice sure will make my day.

Mary

My mum makes this, but adds cocktail sauce (tomato sauce, mayonnaise and a dash of HOT chilli sauce).

Default Thanks

Hi Carole -

Thanks for taking the time to look - they all sound pretty good but it's not the one I'm looking for. I know it didn't have any fruit other than pineapple. Maybe had parsley - but not other spices; no meat was in it.

I can picture it and remember how good it tasted. I'm so mad at myself for taking the recipe out of the box!!! Why did I do that???

Mary
