Default SBVC15 Trash to Treasure...2.15.08

SBVC15 Trash to Treasure...2.15.08

I recently finished taking an on-line painting class and wanted to share with you more ways to use your supplies. These samples were done with paint, but they can be done with your inks as well.

Your challenge is to look around your house and find something anything really that might make a cool stamp you will be surprised at how great it looks!

Think back to when faux painting was all the rage remember people painting their walls with feather dusters, plastic wrap and sponges? Any of those items would work great! Check your junk drawer or your kids toy boxes, leggos work great; just make sure it is easily washable.

my samples:

Vaudeville
- This one didn't show up as well, but I used some cardboard painted with cream and stamped along the bottom where the journaling is.

big girl - I painted the bottom of my DGD's foot and used it as a stamp (she loved it by the way)

feel the pain - I wrapped bubble wrap around a background stamp, used a foam brush and quickly brushed it with several colors of acrylic paint then stamped with it.

peaceful wishes
- I used the wooden end of a foam paintbrush for the dots and the circles are the end of a small plastic spool of thread.

I can't wait to see your pages!

you can find all submissions for this challenge here: SBVC15

SBC's Information Thread: Everything you need to know to participate!

The OPD (One Page Doc, aka: Master Challenge Thread) that includes all challenges on one page for your printing convenience can be found here: OPD

If you have any questions please feel free to contact any one of the SBCT (scrapbook challenge team)via pm or simply post your question in this thread.

thank you ladies! there are so many things you can use.

I saw one page where she used the wheels that come with the legos and rolled them across the corner of the page, really cute.

Another used a variety of circles - small coffee can, plastic glass, water bottle lid, etc and stamped randomly in brown, cream and pink on pink paper -really turned out cute and I had hoped to get a sample of that one done for you. Maybe later.

can't wait to see what you find to use

Peggy, should we start a list of things that DON'T work so well for stamping?!? If so, add a golf ball.. . And I just knew it would be so cute! Back to the drawing, er, painting board......

Red face Here's Mine

Well, I was struggling to feel creative so I just started grabbing some scraps to see what I could do. I wanted to try new things so this page has lots of that....I wasn't very creative .... I used different marker tops to add circles to my layout.

I used corrogated cardboard with acrylic paint to stamp some of the mats on these pages:

Halloween 2007 Right

Halloween 2007 Left

Interesting challenge, Peggy, and a challenge it was! Thanks!
