Default SBVC168 - Plate it up! (12/14/11)

Wow, less than 2 weeks from Christmas! Are you out hustling & bustling to get things done? I've still got a lot of shopping to do and presents to wrap. In this midst of this I've decided that I think I want some Christmas dinnerware. We have our nice china set we got as wedding gifts but it's not Christmasy so I think I'm going to get a Christmas set this year. So, help a girl out here. Which one do I get? There are so many designs from whimsical to elegant to traditional. I think I'm a whimsical kind of girl though. Here's your challenge:

I've provided a link to a web page showing several different Christmas dinnerware. Choose one and use it as your inspiration. It can be the colors used or the detail or both. Your page does not have to be a Christmas page just use the dinnerware to inspire you. When you upload your page, be sure to include the link to the dinnerware you chose. I may just decide on that one!

When you upload your page use keyword, SBVC168, so it is included in this gallery and also include a link in this thread to it.

Have fun!

Michele, this is such a cute idea! I'm gonna need to think about my photos for this one -- and find some time, but I LOVE your challenge!

How nice....I love elegant and that Noritake set is awesome! When we first got married, my MIL worked at Oneida and another relative worked at Reading China and Glass. They asked us to pick out silverware and china patterns (which we did) but no one ever bought us anything then :( I remember picking out a gorgeous black and gold designed Noritake China set and a really cool Oneida pattern with gold in it too. Pretty soon I should have enough room and a china hutch that I would have a place to start getting a nice set. Would give my DH something to get me every year for gifts then.

Thumbs up Yup

can you tell I just found my list of these? Sorry for late link

This page Unwrap the Fun I stamped a Christmas tree that I thought looked alot like this plate.

I have boys and they barely take time to notice the food led alone the plates so although I would love some Christmas plates, I've never purchased any. I do have Christmas mugs and a serving platter and 1 plate ... just for me! LOL

Here's my page. I chose the Lenox Holiday Gatherings china (Lenox Dinnerware Holiday Gatherings Dinnerware Collection | Cookware.com), substituting fir needles for the holly.

This was fun, Michele!

Here is my page. I used a round mat with snowflakes. The plate found here reminded me of the snowflakes.
