Hello dear scrappers!!! I'm the host for this week's theme challenge! I'm posting a little early because I have to work sorta early in the morning and I don't wanna forget to post this!
It seems like the theme challenges have not been getting done by everyone lately! The theme challenges have been really good lately and I'm sure everyone was busy with VSBN challenges and other scrappin' priorities! I hope you find this week's theme challenge to be fun and refreshing!
The theme this week is to scrapbook a personal mantra that you live your life by! This could be a Scripture verse, a favorite quote, or a mantra that you repeat to yourself every once in a while that stands true in your life. An example of a quote that one lives his/her life by would be: "If life gives you lemons, make lemonade!"
Got it? Good!
You don't have to use photos if you don't want to! You MUST include the quote, Scripture, or mantra somewhere on your layout! This layout might include more journaling than others (it doesn't have to though) because you might want to explain WHY you live your life by this personal mantra.
That is such a great theme. I have no idea what to do for mine as I really don't have one. If I looked there are probably tons that would help be who I would like to be.

you could do a favorite quote, perhaps? A lot of times a favorite quote IS a personal mantra, kwim?

Great theme Betsy - I really did mine last week during VSBN, though, with my LIVE LAUGH LOVE - that really is my mantra, I think! Going to give this some thinking time, though, there are so many great quotes and I know we're going to see some incredible pages this week with your theme!
YEAH!! You posted early! Great challenge, will have to think on this one. thanks for being the guest hostess.
I've been thinking on this one since you posted last night. I don't have "one personal mantra" and if I did I'm sure it changed over the years. But I do like quotes, have a bunch of them written down that I keep thinking I'll use in my SB's but have kind of forgotten about using them. I will look through those and see what I can find. Thanks again Betsy! I think this could be the start of a good page.
girl, this is fabulous! I already commented on your page in the gallery, but jsut wanted to welcome you to the scrapbook challenges! COME back for more!!!!! Your work is awesome and we look forward to seeing more of it!

I have my mantra picked (and short formed for the title too). Tomorrow I'm getting DH to take a picture of me. I haven't had a picture taken of me (just me) since I graduated university (a month from the day DD was born). I'm always the one talking pictures. If DD happens to take a pic it is of DD and although she looks great. I am talking and therefore have my mouth open.

I finally finished my page. The second page looks busier than I would have liked. I really wish I had the white gel pen for the journaling on this page. It would have looked better. I really had a lot of fun making this page. I really need to do more theme challenges. The BG paper on the first page was extremely hard to position the picture on without having a humongo flower sitting right on top of my head. I had to cut the 8x10 down a little for it to work. I still LOVE the paper though. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
