I would have to say that the Featured Stamper Challenge is one of my favorite challenges. You can take somebody's card and just add your personal touch to it rather than having to start from a blank canvas. They're quick, easy, and fun when you don't have a lot of time, which unfortunately, seems to be the case with me anymore. I've always wanted to use Basic Gray and Always Amethyst together and took this opportunity to do so.
I chose Maren's Inspired Friend Spotlight card. I loved the simplicity of the card. I had never used my stamp set of this either. I did learn something from this though, and that is to pay more attention to what products I can combine with what, i.e., using the scallop punch in this instance. Maren has so many great cards to choose from that I'll definitely be doing more of hers for this challenge.
My changes to her card are, of course, using different colors, less layers on the top, and adding brads to the corners of the card. Thank you Maren for the inspiration and thank you for looking! I hope you enjoy.
This is my second submission of the day. There are so many changes on this card that I think I'm bordering into Sketch Challenge territory, but this card sort of took on a life all of it's own. I had different colors, but the same stamp set. Then.....and all of you can relate.....I found the ribbon that I just had to use and would go perfect if I used different colors. My card is based off of Maren's Sweet Irish.
My layout is still the same as Maren's, using the Cuttlebug, etc. Just the colors are different and I used a different stamp set, BUT both of ours are still on a holiday, so I don't think I'm that far out! I love the little button brads I used for the snowman. My creation is entitled, Just Celebrate Happy Holidays Snowman.
Again, I'd like to thank Maren for her great inspirations for this challenge today as I have many more of your cards I'm going to case. I hope that you rest of you enjoy!
Here's my third submission of the day! I am really enjoying this challenge and Maren's beautiful cards. I took this particular challenge from Maren's World's Best Teacher.
I changed the background colors, ribbon, and the chalkboard text. I'm thinking ahead to one of my daughter's new teacher in only a few short months. My card is Back to School Teacher.
Again, thank you Maren for such wonderful inspirations, and thank you my other friends for looking!
Here's my 1st card for this weeks FS challenge; I've got a few more picked out for when time allows! Great gallery Maren, great choice Beth, thank you! Mo Maren Butterfly
