It's time to toot your own horn today! You're today's Featured Stamper!
This is my story!
1. Beth asked me to host the Featured Stamper challenge today cuz she is off doing the CHA-CHA-CHA along with about 42,000 other stampers! So, in choosing Karen B. Barber, I realized I didn't know much about her, only that she makes drop dead gorgeous cards and that she is a very sweet, consistent and encouraging fellow commenter! So off to her blog I go, to do a little research for my story!
2. Its amazing what you can learn about someone on their blog! I thoroughly enjoyed reading Karen's Time-to-toot-my-own-horn post about how she struggles being computer challenged. You see, her mother raised her not to *Toot Her Own Horn* but just recently, she just had to do it! Just this once! You see, she was given a blog award and she miraculously was able to place that little blog award in the side-bar of her blog! To put it mildly, she was thrilled beyond thrilled at her accomplishment! She squealed! Her hubby even gave her a big ole hug because she was so excited and that was even after he realized they had not won the lottery! I am sure that was sort of a let down! Poor guy! Snort!
3. So Karen, you might not be a computer whiz (I hear the Geek Squad doesn't pay all that well anyway!) but in the card making world, you are a genius and we appreciate your talent. So we're giving you something to toot about and approval to Toot Your Own Horn today, just one more time! We know, we know, that's twice in one month, but don't worry, we won't tell your family about your horn tooting! Congrats on a gallery chock full of amazing cards and enjoy the recognition cuz you earned it!
Go to her gallery and CASE a card, following these simple guidelines:
CASEing Guidelines
1. Change 2 or more things on the card. It could be a color combo, embellishments, backgrounds, or even the main image could be different -- but similar because you don't own the exact image. List the changes in your description.
2. Give credit to the original stamper. Put a link to the original card in your description.
3. Fan Club members may upload today (Sunday). Non-Fan Club members are encouraged to play....please wait until Monday to upload your creations. Thanks!
4. Please note the following regarding Sketch Challenge cards: If you are keeping the same layout but changing most everything else on the featured stamper's card, make sure it isn't a sketch challenge card (SC##). The reason is because it is essentially is a CASE of the sketch since it isn't the featured stamper's original idea. Thanks! Sketch challenges include Mojo Sketches, Design Team Sketch Challenges and Blog Sketch Challenges. Please be sure to check the keywords!
Uploading directions
1. Keyword FS155
2. Details section of your card: Describe the changes you have made, give credit to the featured stamper, and link her card. Please don't forget to add a recipe!
If you are new to challenges, please feel free to this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and get us stamping!
Need help linking a card? Follow these instructions:
1. Open 2 windows. One for your card, one for the this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type what you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window, highlight the address for your card. (The address bar will say www.splitcoaststampers.....).
4. Click edit. Click Copy.
5. Go back to this thread. Click Paste.
YAY! Karen! Congrats, you know I love your creations! Great choice, Cindy and a super big thanks for posting early! Now the hard part- trying to pick just one card from Karen's gallery!!

Hey, Muddermark, tell Pat that it's "toot" not "hoot" her horn. Or, do you think she meant "hoot"? Hee!
What a wonderful write up you did for Karen! It's almost like a Teapot Tuesday story. Great choice, too, cause I LOVE Karen's beautiful cards. But, how, oh how, will I ever choose which one to case?
CONGRATULATIONS, Karen!!! You are so UBER talented!!
Congrats, Karen. I hope you enjoy your very special day. Cindy, thanks for selecting such a gifted stamper to be acknowledged for her gallery contributions.

Congratulations, Karen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am thrilled to see you as our featured inspiration stamper today. I can't wait to dive into your gallery and I'm sure I'll find it hard to pick just one or two pieces. Your work inspires me every day.
Hey Karen!! Even if you feel a little self conscious tooting your own horn, Cindy has done a FABULOUS job tooting for you; and, all the rest of us fellow stampers who so enjoy your beautiful creative style are tooting right along with her. This is all sounding very "flatulent" but I'm really meaning to sound very "CONGRATULANT"!!! Enjoy your day, I soooo hope I can find some time to play...
