Default FEATURED STAMPER Rules

Hi Devoted FS challenge participants!

Each week I put the CASEing guidelines in the thread of the new Featured Stamper, but sometimes I think we see the guidelines and possibly forget the rules, so I am just listing them here to gently remind participants of the
"rules" of the challenge.

CASEing Guidelines

1. Change 2 or more things on the card. It could be a color combo, embellishements, backgrounds, or even the main image could be different but similar because you don't own the exact image. List the changes in your description.

2. Give credit to the original stamper. Put a link to the original card in your description.

3. Fan Club members may upload today (Sunday). Non-Fan Club members are encouraged to play....please wait until Monday to upload your creations. Thanks!

4. Please note thefollowing regarding Sketch Challenge cards: If you are keeping the same layout but changing most everything else on the featured stamper's card, make sure it isn't a sketch challenge card (SC##). The reason is because it is essentially is a CASE of the sketch since it isn't the featured stamper's original idea. Thanks!

************************************************** *************************************

The are several things which occasionally occur in the "thrill of the upload
" {the time when you get so excited that you finished your card and you are uploading it to the gallery}

{thrill of the upload errors}
1. listing the changes to the original card is not placed in the description of the card. Please take the time to put the changes which you made to "make the card your own". It may be obvious to a seasoned stamper - but to a new stamper (we were all new stampers at one time), it is great to see the changes listed out in the description.

2. listing of your stamps, supllies is omitted. Please take the time to put down the stamp sets, the supplies (especially the paper colors or designer paper names). If you found a great designer paper somewhere, list where you got it - that helps out fellow stampers and crafters. The thrill of the find with shopping is great when shared!

3. Please do not just put a link to your blog for the changes to your card. List what the changes are and then place a link to your blog. You can go into great detail in your blog post, but it is nice for fellow stampers to get the "meat and potatoes" from your gallery photo and description.

Thank you so much for helping out!

Thank you, Beth, for the reminders! We all need them occasionally. I was especially happy to read that you want the changes listed in the description, not just a reference to someone's blog. As is the case with many of us, time is limited, and I just don't have the time to keep going to someone's blog to check out their details.

It's also my understanding that we really aren't suppose to use sketch challenge cards, yet I see people using them for their cases anyway. Am I misunderstanding the rule for sketch challenge cards? Thanks for any clarification!

Thanks for the reminder Beth! I often find myself chosing a Sketch Challenge card to CASE and am careful to change the layout slightly along with other things on the card. That way I am not just doing another card for that week's sketch challenge!

This is a great idea!! I tend to shy away from the SC# cards because that is what they are. Usually what pulls me to a card for the FS is the layout/colors the stamper used. But I will keep this in mind.

And thanks Beth for the gentle reminder. As I have recently been keeping, and updating my blog, I understand where people can get in a hurry, but I honestly try to give the *meat & potatoes* for everyone here on SCS!!

Default FS ??

I've found the forum page and have now gone down through the titles and I would love to play in all of these challenges. How do you find out who the FS is each week ? And the colors and patterns from some of the other daily challenges ???
Do you sign up and if so,,,where ????

It has to be in this information somewhere....I just can't find it.

Thanks
