Clean and Simple (CAS) Favorites for Week Ending SATURDAY, August 3, 2019
Oh my goodness - have you seen all the great uploads for this first day of the 2019 Dare to Get Dirty challenge celebrating our Fan Club members? Gallery gazing is going to be great this week. If you're not already a Fan Club member, this would be a great time to become one and join the fun. Just sayin'.... ;)
Speaking of celebrating - how about some celebrating those wonderful CAS creations from this past week? I just know some of them jumped right into your Favorites folder.
Howdy! by Angelnorth Another great "guy" card, this time from Joanne. I loved the silhouette over the warm colors of the setting sun.
Happy Drunk! Let's Get Birthday by Bar Barbara nailed it with her shaker card - I liked that she included red and white wine and how she incorporated some "splash."
Back On Your Feet by abbysmom2198 I love get well cards designed to put a smile on the recipients lips at a time they may not feel like smiling. Linda's cute turtle card really hit the mark for me.
Full Bloom by Sunnylovespaper Even though the focal image on this card takes up a lot of the front of the card, I saw it as such an airy image that it still felt open and CAS to me. The white space still shone through.
CAS543 Cup of Tea by Vervegirl Julee's card earned a place in my favorites folder on the basis of cuteness alone. Simply adorable.
You Inspire Me by PaperCrafty Another card not classically CAS, but still with plenty of whitespace. And, by keeping all the blooms the same, Sheri avoided making her design too "busy." Love this design!
So there you go - some great CAS creations to start things out. Now it's your turn. What CAS beauties did you uncover this week? Make someone's day by recognizing them here.
This thread is open to everyone and is a great way to recognize the work of SCS's many talented CAS artists.
There are really only two "rules" here on the thread:
The Gallery posts you link to should be in the CAS style...
--------------------------------
And what does it mean to be Clean and Simple?
It's all about the design.
* Uncluttered
* lots of white or open space
* one main focal point
--------------------------------
...and they should be from the past week.
If you have favorites to share that don't fit as Clean and Simple, we encourage you to share those favorites in the regular Favorites Thread. I will post the thread once it is available
Did you find your way to this thread because someone listed one of YOUR creations as a favorite? In addition to saying thank you, we encourage you to pay that smile you're probably wearing right now forward by sharing a few of the cards/projects YOU favorite-ed this week.
If this is your first time being mentioned in this thread or you have a new blog we have blog badges found here in this post.
Need help linking your Favorites? Follow these steps:
1. Load this week's Favorites thread in your first browser tab. Scroll down and click the Go Advanced button. 2. Open a second tab (or a separate window). Go to the Gallery and click on "My Favorites." 3. Click on a card you have saved. At the top, highlight the web address. Hit Ctrl+C to copy. 4. Switch back to the first tab. Type the cardmaker's SCS name, add a couple of spaces and hit Ctrl+V to paste your link there. Hit Enter twice to add a blank line. 5. Repeat as many times as needed for all your links. 6. Click the Preview Post button and check that your links work. Then click the Submit Reply button.
