Default One more Disney question...

I keep looking on their site for a ride that I think was called "alien invaision" Not really a ride but you sat down strapped in and the alien in the center of the cirlce escaped and the place went dark and it felt like it was breathing on you. It was great, I am just wondering if it is still there. Does anyone know??

No, that particular ride isn't there anymore.

It's now Stitch's Great Escape, though it's basically the same thing.

ok thanks! DH and I really liked that one. I actually spent a week there and on the last day I chose to ride that instead of seeing the Cinderella parade. The whole time we were there we never saw the parade. But the ride was pretty cool!

You and probably 95% of visitors feel the same way. ROFL I think it's consistently rated as one of the worst rides at WDW.

But if you love the ride, that's great for you ~ no line/wait.

Last year when we were there, the line was really long all the time. We finally found a day when it was short, so we went in. It was awful! Oh well, now we won't have to wonder what we missed!

So aside from it being Stitch, what makes it so eww? I remember that this alien was in a tube in the center and the lights went out and it felt like it was breathing on you but nothing too eww. I know this isn't the best ride there but DH and I thought it was cool 13 years ago. LOVE tower of terror and the haunted mansion. I remember going to Disneyland when I was 11 and riding the haunted mansion ride and I couldn't wait to take DH on it when we went for our honeymoon.

Do they still have Honey I shrunk/blew up the kid? that was neat too when it felt like mice were crawling at your feet.

Honey I shrunk the kid is still there.
Tower of Terror is even better now - multiple and random ups and downs.
If you liked Alien, you'll like Stich. basically the same experience, different theme

Here's a tip. Bring a bag of apples to your room and have everyone bring an apple into the park for a snack beats paying the Disney price.

Yeah, but on Tower of Terror, that random thing can work against you. When we were there in 2000, we had a great ride, up, down, out, etc.... super cool! When we were there in 2008, it was just one big up and one big down..... we were all let down. The kids went a second time later in the trip (NOT ME! I like the little drops but can't handle the big drops), but they didn't say how it was.

My son loved this one. The rest of us thought it was pretty lame. He "spits" on you I think. Water squirts. I think he eats a chili dog and belches.

Um ok that is gross!

I remember that it felt like the alien was breathing on you kind of wet and yucky feeling but a smelly belch...yuck! I have enough of that with my boys! LOL

Tower of Terror has 20 different sequences that are randomly chosen by the computer. This info came from a Disney cast member. So, you never know what you are going to get. But, I always find it fun.

As far as Stitch goes, I just don't care for it. It's pretty dark and can be scary for some kids, while others absolutely love it.

We had a ride that went up/down 5 times. It was great! Front row seats and only 5 of us on the ride.
