Default Anniversary Gift for Husband

My husband and I are celebrating our 10th Anniversary in June. Do any of you clever people have a good gift idea for me to give him? We are not overly "mushy" people, and we don't have a lot of time for going away or anything (maybe a night, if I can talk Mom into it). What are some things that all of you have done?
Thanks for sharing!
Karen

Our 10th anniversary is in 3 weeks. Thankfully we've decided to go on a trip as our gift to each other.

Ideas I had before the trip was planned:
new and improved coffee maker
coffee bean grinder
power conditioner for his stereo equipment
new wedding band

You should really consider the trip - for both of you.

I think I may still do the coffee bean grinder for father's day since the one we got as a wedding gift just broke this week (10 years ain't too bad).

Happy Anniversary! We just celebrated our 10th.
We are getting our roof done. NOT what I was thinking years ago. I was thinking a trip for the 2 of us but maybe in a few more years. Our family lives states away. =(
I did get a new wedding band tho. =) I love it!

A friend of mine for her 10th did a scrapbook for her husband with a picture of the two of them from every year they had been married. That might be something nice to do and a great souvenir for the future. You could even add to it every year.

We went to a bed & breakfast for two nights for our 10th. We are overly mushy - it gets worse every year!!! I'd get away, even if only for a night.

The scrapbook sounds wonderful especially if you can go away alone and give it to him in private. Never know what that might lead to
(we've been married almost 36 years)

Not to throw cold water, but....I made DH a scrapbook for Christmas (one of the 5x7 ones) with pics of his family, our family, his hobbies, etc. He liked it, and appreciated the effort I had put into it....but he would have been much happier with a toy for him (new drill, new table saw, new motorcycle, new electric guitar....). I basically got from him that, while he appreciated the fact that I loved him enough to do this, it wasn't the best present I could give. I think that we stampers/scrappers appreciate things like that more....

And before you all start flaming DH, he was the most gracious person about it that he could be! I WAS NOT insulted--I had just oopsed on gift choices!

I haven't considered giving my DH a scrapbook for that very reason.

Thanks for all the great ideas. I've made mini scrapbooks for my DH before, but I have to agree-they're not for him. He is also very gracious and appreciates the effort, but I know he would rather have something else. (Although I do like the idea of a picture from each year of our marriage. Hmm.)

I just found a nearby winery that is doing a special dinner and wine tasting. We will probably do that. I would still like to do something as a gift. My friend does engraving on bottles and glasses. Maybe I should look for a saying or poem to put on something? Or maybe the anniversary date?

Congrats on you upcoming anniversary. My DH and I are celebrating our 10th on the 18th too! We're going on a trip without the kids - it's actually a work convention but he's coming along and we'll have evenings and a few extra days together. It'll be our first trip without the kids!

I'd still like to get him a gift, though, so I'll be watching this thread for good gift ideas.
