Ball ornament as in one of those plastic clear balls?

Paper napkin....as in something pretty or just plain?

Can't wait!

There was a recent Mix challenge that. Used White napkins. But I'm guessing you are right.

I just looked online and you can add black acrylic paint to white gesso to make it black! Yay!

I think that would make grey gesso... but you can use white gesso first and let it dry, then paint over it with black.

ehow.com says "Typically, gesso is white, but some artists prefer to begin their work on a black or tinted background. ... Black gesso can easily be made at home from white gesso and acrylic paints. ... Pour some black acrylic paint into the container with the white gesso." They say to be sure to add black paint to gesso and not gesso to black paint? I think the reasoning was because it only takes a little color to make the light color darker??

What is meant by a matte glass ornament? Is that like frosted, or just clear with no shine? I just don't know that I've ever seen a non-shiny glass ornament. Also, is there an alternative to alcohol markers, for those of us who don't have/can't afford them? Or, instead of "real" markers (e.g. Copic, Spectrum Noir, $$$), would Sharpie markers work?

Sharpies are alcohol markers - so are Bic MarkIts. I used both for a long time before I bought anything else and was perfectly happy...
