Challenge Title: Mixed Media Die Cut Collage
Hostess: UnderstandBlue aka Lydia
Keyword: FF20UnderstandBlue
Date: 11.02.2020
I saw a beautiful process unfold from my friend Dawn Woleslagle - the owner of WPlus9. While she is known for watercolor, her mixed media is stunning. So with her permission, her process is your first challenge. Here are the steps.
Start with a piece of watercolor paper for the card front
Die cut any shapes out of watercolor paper. I'm using leaves.
Glue the shapes all over the panel.
Using a water reactive ink - Distress Inks, Distress Oxides or Hero Hues or Atelier Inks - ink blend several colors over the whole card panel.
Splatter with water and another medium - gold or white ink or paint or glazes
Finish your card.
I can't wait to see what you do!

Lydia- a terrific challenge, thanks for the instructions to get our cards started! I went with a green, turquoise and gold color scheme- using a flower themed punch for my background. Did a direct to paper technique next, and added versamark clear ink randomly with pear green embossing powder. Layered some icy blue stickles around the card for a bit of glitter. I fussy cut some stamped leaves shapes, did some enhancing with my markers and a blender pen. Finished with a simple yarn tie and a hand lettered sentiment. Here's Fall Leaves

So, I ended up smooshing mine trying to weld the layers and glues back together and it got a little flat looking but I really enjoyed this and will probably do it again. Thanks Lydia.
I had a lot of fun with this! Probably spent "too much" time on the intricate snowflake dies and all of the splatter, but so enjoyable. Thanks for looking!
Here is my card. Thanks for the challenge Lydia. Happy day
