Challenge Title: Holidays in a different climate Hostess: Jay_Bee Janine Brain Keyword: FF19JayBee Date: Friday 8th November
I have only ever celebrated Christmas in the UK climate (often just grey and damp) and once in cold crisp Minnesota with good friends.
Like most of us I have friends "all over the place" and I often think about those who have Christmas day on the beach, in a big city that never experiences snow or even those working in an extreme climate.
My challenge to you today is to make a card for a climate very different to the one you are used to at Christmas.

Well, coming up with a weather not experienced in Western Kansas at Christmas could be tricky. In my lifetime I can remember wet Christmas, snowy Christmas, warm Christmas (outside with new toys and games in shirt sleeves) and windy---well that is almost every day----SO I will see what i can do to make a card that is different....Thanks for the challenge.

What a fun challenge. I always wish I had a Christmas Beach stamp for challenges like these but on the other hand I could make a very snowy card because we never have snow at Chritsmas.

Angie - we rarely get any snow on the day because people bet on a white Christmas but it has been known to snow over the Christmas period. When my sister was born it was very grey and snowy

Here is mine. Didn’t have any of my stamps here at the retreat, but had this pineapple that I had already stamped and die cut at home. Found paper here, and did the greeting on the computer. Thank you for hostessing. FF19JayBee Mele Kalikimaka sm by smadson - at Splitcoaststampers
Hello, I explained in card descr, but again.. here is my story. My mom got 4" of snow today, and it stuck! whew, winter has begun.
I live (for past 42 yrs) in AZ, and where I live we rarely wear long sleeves ( I don't own any) , we don't get snow and I haven't owned plaid in 40+ yrs, I suppose I had enough of it growing up. hahaha
I know for most of you the Other Climates were cards of warm weather, but for me, snow and brisk cold winter temps are the 'other climate'.
ENJOY your holidays
Teresa
I live in Minnesota, so I made this card for my cousin who lives in Miami (where I'm sure the climate is way different from the Frozen North at Christmastime!)
Thanks, Jay_Bee, for a very fun challenge!

Reason: oops...
We sometimes get a little snow but rarely enough for snowmen building. If we do I always put rubber gloves over my normal ones as these days I hate cold wet hands!
