Well I tried to make this as hard as possible. Itís really not that bad... I just want to put the Capital C in Challenge! I finished it and managed to do it upside down, so it has two lids! But it only opens on the bottom, so itís easier to get to the light source...thatís my excuse and Iím sticking to it! 🤣

So... I spend a couple hours on this. ( folds are not my thing) and anyways... it did not occur to me that solid snowflakes were not going to be very good windows. ( the smaller ones I have are more solid and I was thinking more along the lines of you have to cut two layers...) So... because I found that out before I had the lid done, I ended up deciding this will just be a fancy gift box since the amount of "window" view I have is so minimal you cannot see anything... with the light on or not.

Here is mine. I don't have any appropriate holiday dies so I went with fall colors and a detailed frame.

I can't get the link to work right. I'll try again tomorrow.

I fiddled with this off and on all day: falliday fest triangle luminary box The quilting rulers make constructing the lid much simpler, and shorter works better for the tea lights. imho

Smile FF17TUTORIAL2 leaves & ovals

great tutorial! I used 2 floral panels and a rich purple panel, using an oval die for my windows. Substituted waxed paper for vellum- think it gave my windows a soft diffuse glow. Used a reverse stencil of pine branches with red and green inks smooshed on the cardstock first- saving the die cut branches for another project. My embellishments were leaves made from the ovals from my windows. Here's leaves & ovals
